Interesting, seems like most of the calzaghe threads are folks defending him, not yanks bashing him. threadstarter, who are you crappin?

    It is true.

Why would so many people devote so much time to criticising him if they have little regard for his achievements?

It is very insecure and childish. I hope they keep posting, its hilarious. I consider each hating post a boost to Calzaghe.

I was talking about the way they were marketed, obviosuly Hatton is a far better fighter than Lacy. They were both equally over hyped though. For a while there you would have though Hatton was the second coming of Christ. That is until he failed to do anything exciting against Collazo or Urango, then got embarassed by Mayweather.

Are you ****ing serious? You think thousands of active fighters are as good as Calzaghe? You think thousands could beat Kessler and Lacy?

    Give it a rest.
Yeah, because Jeff Lacy beat top top 10 P4Pers and dominated his division for years.

Lacy was a hypejob. Hatton, regardless of what you think of his abilities, proved he was world class.

I think you might find your head is in fact trapped within your anus. How is Calzaghe not at least 3rd? Pac and JMM 1 and 2, who is the third guy in this equation?

    Thank you.

I'm sorry if my opinion differs from yours, but I am certianly not going to stop voicing it because you say so. I've been here long enough and have stuck to my guns the entire time. I spend a lot of time observing fighters and critiquing the sport, I have a valid opinion and I feel it is worth sharing. I respect your right to post, you do the same for me. If not, ignore me.

So are you saying that Hatton was never truley over-hyped, and has lived up to the media exploitation in the last 3 years?
