American Fans - Who Won? Kessler vs Froch

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by SplitDecision, Apr 24, 2010.

  1. I know a load of non American fans will probably vote but Americans - No bias, who do you think won that fight. I'm English and I thought Froch nicked it.

Bro honestly I cant stand Froch but even I have to admit he was controlling Kessler with the jab for the first part of the fight and managed to win a couple of rounds afterwards. Even if Froch didnt win officially im so not impressed by Kessler one bit. Froch showed us a different dimension to his game while Kessler did the same ****.

What a stupid question, Since when have the Americans ever been been a yardstick to measure impartiality?

    P.S. I thought Kessler won.

I'm from the UK, and I watched it with German commentary so I didnt hear ****

I thought Kessler won at least 115-113. Add home bias to that and u'll see the scoring was reasonable.

It was a good fight and a credit to both fighters.

It wasnt even near a robbery. If Froch had won it would have felt like a robbery. for an away fighter to get the decision in a fight like that would have shocked me

Im english and was rooting for Froch, but sadly I had Kessler winning fairly comfortably, there were plenty of close rounds, but with Kessler being at home, I had him winning by 3-4 rounds to be honest.

i had it a draw. you cant score punched that don't hit. guarentee the punch stats will be big time in Frochs favour.

I'm Australian and I believe Kessler won quite clearly in a tough fight. Froch is tough as nails and dangerous till the last bell but Kessler controlled the pace, landed more and I really like how he punctuated the victory in the last exchange in the 12th leaving Froch against the ropes.

  12. Wish they had punch stats for this fight because i'm sure Froch would be miles ahead. To the Australian fan - do you not think Froch won the last round?
