    Cotto's Boricua,they're the ones who booed God Save the Queen.If you go to a Cotto fight in New York,the Garden is full of Puerto Ricans.Technically,Puerto Ricans hold USA passports,but the people on the island are still unsure of how they want their legal status defined as it's been in question and debate for a long time.

    I dont think they were booing cause he was brit they were booing cause he was fighting taylor a former olympic former undisputed middle weight champion. the guy met the president of the us i mean people like him and want him to do well

    the thread is not really being understood.

    gaz is being ironic .

    no one in the uk gives a **** if uk fighters are booed when they fight overseas.
    we all come from a sports vculture where this is the norm, thats why uk fans do not always show respect to other nations fighters whether at home or overseas.

    the thread is a little dig at all the posters who were so upset at hatton fans during the mayweather v hatton fight.

    there were pages and pages complaining from posters who are not used to seeing that type of behaviour whereas in virtually every other country this is the norm and while not really liked by most, it is water of a ducks back to coin a phrase.

    There's always a divide when cultures collide, but outside of the ring we should put it aside, but that Jermain Taylor still got put on his hide, the question is for ourselves to decide.
