Lewis was the only great brit and Canada made him. It's a no contest I'm afraid.
If you look at the top 20 current pound-for-pound ratings in BoxRec it list 3 British and 4 American. Really quite indistinguishable, if not more impressive for the Brits given the relative size of the countries. I always find that nationalistic flag-waving is comical. You have two groups of people, you're much more similar than different, arguing for their country's( a place they most likely were born into as opposed to choosing) achievements that they personally contributed nothing.
