His wars with Holy and Bowe prove otherwise. Shot Bowe got a hellacious beating from Golota in both fights, both legal and illegal punches, and he fought back while most others would have quit. If ever a HW got beat up in the ring without getting KOed it was Bowe, by Golota - the effects of it (severe brain damage) were seen shortly afterwards...

Bowe's a fairly solid contender for glass hearted American of the day. But his lack of heart pails in insignificance when compared to the gaping casm in the chest of one man.

Andre Dirrell - Glass Hearted Ameribum - Champion Emeritus.

Didn't Morrison knock Bowe clean out whilst preparing for Holyfield?

Lennox has a glass heart and jaw. Rahman KO'd Lewis and Vitali made him quit the sport

  7. He didn't really have a glass heart in the ring. But in life he did, big time.

Bowe is lucky to have had a couple of great performances that everyone judges him by now. In reality he should be judged on his whole career, including the fights where he got his arse kicked. His performances against Golota could be considered a regression to the mean rather than a result of laziness and ill discipline. I think Bowe is hideously overrated these days :-(

Golota dominated a slightly past it Bowe.

Golota vs a Prime Bowe would have been closer no doubt, but I would still pick Golota to win.

His previous fight was a stoppage win against Holyfield. He can't have been too far past his best

Some argue he was overweight for the Golota fight. But past-it probably wasn't the best phrase to use.

Bowe had 2 wars with holyfield where he went toe to toe with a prime holyfield. The 3rd fight was still pretty good even though evander wasn't 100%.

    He did ducked lewis.
