i know its sad isnt it? im from the uk and its pathetic people feel the need to talk about nationality. in this guys defence though there was a similar post by an american about uk fighters with glass jaws. it does go both ways!
What's with the Ward hate? He's still in the S6, he puts on a clinic in virtually every fight and would have beaten his opponents everywhere in the world based on skill alone.
Maybe it's because kids here don't have to fight their brothers for a crust of bread and the last pint of beer like in England.
the only problem i have is the fact he's in pfp lists. he's class but being over rated slightly. only live apponant is kessler. but saying that i have a feeling he will keep winning. he seems to find the right formula each time!
oh rite yeah your correct. its like a third world country here. we dont even have roads. we just swing from tree to tree to get places. we have to fight for nappies(diapers) from day one!
Haha that's rich. I constantly see UK V US threads all over this site started by Brits and Yanks alike. Don't pretend it only goes one way. :nono P.S - I notice you capitalized Americans but not 'brit'. Something in that?
Anyone that has Floyd (I know he was only mentioned once I think) in a glass heart list is a moron. Anyone that can take the shots he took from Mosley in round two and continue to fight toe-to-toe with him, not to mention fighting on the inside against Hatton (beating him at his own game), has heart. He may not have CONFIDENCE that he can beat Pacquaio, which is a separate discussion entirely, but he has heart once he steps into the ring. He's a very cerebral fighter, but he goes on the attack when he knows it's time to do so. I think people also tend to confuse a "defense first" mentality with "having no heart," as a lot of American fighters lately (Dawson, Dirrell and others) have adopted a defensive/slick counterpunching style as opposed to a face-first, brawling style. Don't assume that just because a boxer is a counterpuncher he automatically has no heart. I don't consider being a defenseless, face-first brawler something to be sought after as a boxer - that's not a way to have a long career and not end up with Alzheimer's at the age of 35. Here's the simple math: Counterpuncher NOT = having no heart Counterpuncher = having a brain/understanding of the sweet science
