Over the course of the war (1955-1975), the Communist Vietnamese suffered 1 million battlefield deaths. The United States, on the other hand, suffered 58,000+.

Now, let's be charitable and say that allied forces--the South Vietnamese, Aussies, New Zealand, South Koreans- accounted for half of that figure, or 500,000.

US forces, correspondingly, would have been responsible for the remaining 500,000, good for a nearly 10:1 kill ratio. :deal
