No one can beat Wilder in the division at the moment, that definitely includes Parker who would lose badly and at the moment Joshua although Joshua is still an unknown commodity for me. (I have to see him in there with better opposition) Charles Martin looked very good, I was impressed by the thudding of his punches he looks like he can bang, and according to Glaz body mannerisms as the fight progressed, Glaz wanted nothing to do with Martin's punches. It was just a matter of time before Glaz would collapse anyway. AMERICAN FIGHTERS ARE BACK.
Charles Martin is a paper Champ and will be lucky if he gets more than one defence under his name. Wilder is legit top 10 but there is a good chance he will lose to Povetkin in his next fight. So when you lose both your champs before the end of the year will that mean the heavyweight division is dead again?
Of course not The best HWs are (In order) Wilder Fury Ortiz Rivas Martin Joshua Parker Ugonoh Povetkin Haye And there are many up and coming prospects like Arias and some others.
I have to get used to including Martin, he really impressed me last night. It was only a matter of time before Glaz would have collapsed
You're joking right? It looked to me as if Glazkov was more than holding his own and the longer the fight went, the more it played to his advantages
It was obviously Martin's power was really making Glaz think 2x about even being in the ring with him
Martin and Wilder are paper champs. Fury is the real champ. Plus Povetkin, Haye, Ortiz etc. are all better than Martin and Wilder.
I know the crack is an almost exclusively American problem, but you don't need to prove your American by smoking it and then posting while high on it. Yes, Martin looked very good vs a highly overrated Glassknee GIFTKOV, but Wilder took 9 rds to dispatch a china chinned club fighter, and Parker would smoke Szpilka in 3 rds, and he'd stop Glaskov with his fists rather than his feet. Joshua, Fury, Potvetkin, Parker, Ruiz Jr, Haye, and both Klitschko's ALL beat Wilder or Martin. deal:deal
With the Klitschkos gone the HW division at the time is somewhat devoid of any real proven talent in general. The American HWs in question IMO haven't shown anything or fought anyone to prove the subject line true, to a point where that statement will stand for a few fights more. At least it's become an interesting division again.
Parker struggled and a lot of people say lost to Sherman Williams. Szpilka would be the favorite in my mind over Parker
martin and wilder are champs because all the europeans are playing basketball /rounders for men /and goalkeeping in football.
