Except many people were saying Wlad have been showing his age, especially after the Jennings fight.

Martin is too upright, slow footed and basic for my liking. He looked good against Glazkov because Glazkov had no head movement and couldn't get past the jab. Bear in mind, this wasn't a Wladesque jab so i think the few rounds we saw said more about Glazkov's weaknesses than Martin's strengths.

He may have decent pop, although that is still unproven at the top level, but he is severely lacking in other areas. It is to be expected though, due to his late start in the sport.

Glad he's not. He's boring and his reign was the reason no one watched hw boxing

Nobody watched him , but he filled stadiums in germany, filled MSG , let me know when Fury or wilder can make as much money and have as many fans as wlad had.

I said wlad will lose before the fight , he looked old in his last few fights and very old in jennings fight and he is actually old, he'll be 40 in a few months . If you think 40yo wlad is the same as he was 36 , then I guess mike tyson was in his prime when he fought danny williams. All other ATG's were shot at 40 , but wlad was not??

The thing is, I don't really care about any of that. His name generated money but still hw boxing was one of the least watched. Wlad was a great champion but had a dull persona and a boring style of boxing. I'm excited his reign is over and ready to move on

    US doesn't have anyone good.

Wilder is probably the 9th best HW in the world at best, Martin 20th.

Pulev, Povetkin, Fury, Ortiz, Haye, Klitschko, Takam...this is the real group of elite heavies

2 Americans have belts because of connections, nothing more.
