Well Wilder did also won the bronze medal in China in 2008 and he is a boxer from the beginning.
Mitchell first started boxing in 2007 or early 2008. Only had 10 Amateur fights.
But yeah maybe Wilder got more potential, but his chin is also more fragile.

not until he is willing to fight someone with a pulse. Sorry, but I am sick and tired of American Heavyweight prospects being coddled. Have some balls and fight someone and if you lose so what? Learn from your experience and train to get better. Too many fighters are scared to lose today.

  4. Exactly, although we don't get to see what happens in sparring. Maybe this guy could be hiding a Glass Jaw. Definitely one for the ChinCheckers to look out for.:deal

Well, what if he's not good enough yet to fight somebody and he will loose and his carrer will be over.

I think a guy like Travis Walker or Chazz Witherspoon would be a good fight for him.

But honestly who in the HW divison are fighting against decent opponent?

Kubrat Pulev and Edmund Gerber are fighting bums as well. So it is not just Americans.

If he was a Glass Jaw he defently would have been nocked down or shocked in one of his 24 pro fights.

Also he dont look like someone with a glass jaw. He is a robust big guy.

    :rofl:patsch

His career will not be over after one loss. That is laughable. Shame these current Heavyweights can't learn from the Heavyweights of the 80's and 90's.

Sooo??? A record is still a record.

Sure if will. In todays HW, if you are a procpect and you loose. Then it's over.
Unless you have a big name.

he has Golden Boy behind him. One loss didn't end it for Ortiz or Kirkland. They keep getting chances even one was exposed as a complete Glass Jawed Joke and the other a Glass Jawed quitter. Why is that? One loss didn;t hurt them in the least. Both are still getting HBO dates.

Ortiz loss was a huge set back for him. His loss made fans questios his heart and that he was not a real warrior.

Kirkland: He was never that good and people look diffirent at the glass jaw now. If he looses against Angulo, then he isa done deal.

Look at Daniel Jacobs. Since his loose, he have been inactive and quite since.

Klitschkos - Haye and Adamek, Povetkin vs Chagaev ... Helenius has had decent opponents and Fury vs Chisora was a good match-up...Chambers vs Thompson is good too.

Gerber is fighting lower level fighters for a reason and Pulev is also facing poor opponents, for some odd reason. Pulev should definitely step up.

    I meant prospect dude.

Well it was hard to make Chambers vs. Thompson and it only happens because it is a eliminator.

Pulev and Gerber are facing same opponent like Mitchell and Wilder.

Helenius: Facing good, but also washed up champions.
