    Burns wins guys.

His jab will be the key. Mitchell is a little too small for the LW class and he's going to get stung by Burns's stick all night.

I care about the outcome but I'm not going to go out of my way to watch it since it's not being shown here.

    Read my post properly please.
I'm actually comparing the fact that they were both interim WBO champions who were upgraded to full champion status.
Marquez is my favourite active fighter so I'm well aware of the difference between them, but I was correct about how they both got their belts the same way.
With Burns,no one's claiming he's a P4P'r,but given the fact that he was nowhere just a few years ago, most people acknowledge he's fought a decent level of opponent given his own ability. He beat Martinez, who at the time had a shout for being #1 in the division, and most people expected Katsidis to beat him.
The only people who can slate his opposition are the ones who are totally unrealistic about his ability.i.e yourself. He's fought a decent opponents when you look at how he's risen steadily through the ranks.
And it's fairly common knowledge that he chased a fight with Marquez when JMM held the 135 belt and Ricky was interim.I feel he would've been hammered, but he certainly wanted the fight.

Of course I care I got vcash on Burns! Like his technique and though he didn't overly impress against Moses I think he'll do better in this fight. Should be good folks.

If Burns keeps his discipline, he wins.

    Simple fight to call.

He'd of been butt raped Sir.

Now Marquez has left the division, Burns is actually one of 135's better fighters.

You know, I originally picked Burns, too. But I just don't know which Mitchell we're gonna' see tonight. It's a real pick'em 50-50 fight for me. Can't wait!

Yeah, I'm primed for this! Let's hope it's not too cagey and they 'have it'. :D

I had to think about this one alot.

I think it comes down to Burns being that bit bigger, and being able to establish his jab. I fully expect Mitchell to be the mover in this fight, using lateral movement to try and negate the Scotsman's offence. That's where Burns has to be smart, he needs to double and tripple his jab, and feint.

Mitchell's problem is that he's too big to make SFW, but more than likely that little bit too small to be a force at LW. (Much like Arthur Abrahm about 25lbs up the scales)

Hmm, I think it will be cagey. And I think it'll be a tactical affair, like SJS19 has pointed out...

They're both quality fighters and Mitchell, I believe, gets severely underrated because of that Katsidis loss. And Burns hasn't had the chance to show the Americans what he's about. With so many of the decent/dangerous fighters moving on the lightweight division, I really think these two could have a decent stint there.

I can see what you mean.A 100% Mitchell could give anyone in that division a tough night.
    Picking Ricky but not overconfident.
Leaving for the fight at 7.30:happy
