I am the same when the fight was signed I thought Burns would win clearly, now that the fight is getting closer I am not sure who is going to win, should be a good fight though.

So you think Evensen, Lareya, Cook and Moses are fighters a "world champion" should be fighting? Thats unrealistic. Ricky Burns has no ability other than being bigger and having a longer reach than anyone else he has fought! Kevin Mitchell will be the best (other than Martinez) opponent he's fought and he shouldn't be fighting for a world title! This is one of them good British domestic fights, but in no way should this be for a world title as neither deserve one! Ricky Burns moved up to avoid his mandatory, and before you say "he couldn't make the weight", he couldn't for one more fight? Ricky Burns is a sham and its an absolute tragedy when a fighter like him can say he's a world champion! "Given his own ability", his own ability is no whre near world level. And I dont care how much you say he is but all you have to do is look at his record and his level of opposition and then throw in the fact he has a world belt? Does that make sense to you? Is this what Boxing is now? When he fights and beats Broner, De Marco etc; then I'll listen.

Defo. I've got a bit of a softspot for Mitchell, but this is a fight I'll be kicking back and enjoying without too much concern for what a loss could do to either guy.

You contradicted my post about how they both got their titles and I torpedoed you with extreme predjudice cos you were just plain wrong.
As for your other points, they're only opinion and win or lose,I'll be happy to take them up with you tomorrow.
As for Broner, could he have made one more fight? Maybe, but should he chance going in drained against the best in the division and a genuine potential superstar?

I forgive you,no need to apologise. You've got about 3 mins if you want me to put you right again before I leave for the fight so look a bit lively flower.

    Wrong about what?

Only opinion? His record says different.

    Broner wasn't avoiding his mandatory.

    Back to you, petal.

Wrong about what? That Burns isn't worthy of the belt? He's not though.

As I said, this would be one of those good British level domestic fights but for a world title? C'mon. Anyway, I'd say it would be some craic in that place tonight. I wont be watchin it till all hours of the mornin, have to record it as the Frampton fight is on the same time.

I became a Burns fans after he whooped my boy Rocky Martinez's ass. Burns I'm still not sure how good he is but he seems lower end top 10 at least. Should be a great fight with Burns winning clealry and maybe even stopping Burns late.

I think Burns has a shot vs any 135 pounder out there.

Burns WON his title by beating the champ(and who many considered the best in the division at the time Rocky Martinez).

And Burns stepped up in weight to "avoid" but yet Broner coming in 3.5 pounds over 130 is ok? Burns knew he couldn't make the weight so he moved up like Broner should have done..... Instead of draining himself to a complete disadvantage or coming in overweight he showed respect for the sport and moved up.
