Regardless of who we (american's) want to win, credit is due to Joe C. for coming over here to fight in Vegas like we've always wanted him to. And, he's not coming over to fight a chump by anymeans, so credit to both really for taking a high risk fight. May the best man on the night win it convincingly!!

IMO, this fight could be very dangerous for Joe because should he lose, his detractors will have mad ammo to use to say "he's been overprotected in UK, blah..blah. But he's here and risking it all against a proven legend, so let's give credit where it's due.:good

BTW, Bhops by T/KO 9 on a sick ass counter shot, after Joe gets a little wild/too comfortable and is trying too hard to show us US fans he is indeed a bad ass fighter, and we'll see Joe stunned backing into a corner with a bewildered look on his face as BHop closes in and closes the show.:D

LOL pipe thinking of the hatton fight but that aint happening i have to respectfully disagree i got jc on stoppage in 10 or 11 he's going to make b-hop fight it'll be tactical for the first 3 then from there b-hop will revert to his old style and play right into jc's hands.

    OH yeah good first post:yep

My pick honest to goodness has **** to do with PBF/Hatton. No way, no how. Infact I had been on the fence until like two days ago, when it came to me premonition style. I will be the first to admit it's a very unlikely scenario, and I can fully appreciate why Joe fans would think I'm crazy as hell for coming up with it. But it is in fact what I'm gonna stick with, as I can somehow see the unlikely happening.

Would I care to wager on this outcome??

    HELL NO!!!!:D

That's a good post. But as he's finally made it to the US, I wonder where are the US fans who wanted him in the States? Definitely not in LV buying the tickets. It's a diappointment. So big fight and seemingly no one cares - it's still the hardcore British/Welsh fans who'll pack the arena. I wonder if coming to the US makes sense at all... It doesn't seem so. :huh

But the fight is on and I'm looking for is and already very hyped... I hope the Thomas and Mack will be packed!

Do your thing PlugIN, Its all good. I just wanted to say out in the open that no matter what happens, Joe has Elephant balls for coming over and facing the recognized 175 Champion, and a legend at that.

Agreed. I hate that shite. I follow and respect plenty of US fighters and I am picking Calzaghe based on the evidence and what I believe not nationalism.
Plenty of British fans are just as jingoistic, but most I know do have several US fighters they are big fans of, I have always liked Mosley for example.

In contrast I don't often see much respect for British fighters from US fans, someone like Hatton loses to the best P4P fighter in the world and an ATG, and he is "exposed" and "overrated".

Anyway, Joe will win a comfortable UD. If he meets Pavlik he will dismantle him, the one fighter who has the tools to truly bother Calzaghe and maybe beat him is Dawson.

You make a very fine point BigBone, as usual, but it has to be understood that the American fans calling for him are probably the few hundred that hang out on these boards. In all honesty, and by no means is it right, Joe's just not known in the states. And to make matters worse, he's fighting Ol' Bhops who probably couldn't sell out my living room. I mean how many times have we read on here that NOBODY showed up for his parade in Philly after winning his belts??

I like the rest of your post, but how cool does that make Joe?? Beat a 25 year old kid who's only just won his first belt, and has yet to even make one defense, against a 10 year champion??

    :bbb
