This was a nice read and very true.....Joe is taking all the risk because if he loses they will say he was exposed and never what they said he was.If Bernard loses all he has to say is " I guess im to old for this"......I going for Joe by either UD or SD

t's not his biggest pay-day you muppett,he could of got more fighting here in the uk,where you can fit 100,000 plus in the stadium.

He's come over here to prove to you yanks(which he shouldn't have to by now)that he's the best smw/lhw ever.

Absolutely. Give Rick and Joe credit, they're doing something special taking these fights on "enemy" turf.

And with that out of the way...

Heart has said 'Nard all the way, head is starting to agree.

:tired Ugghh Strike. Yes he is mixing it world class now with the fighters at 160.:deal Joe C. has been Champ for 10 years at 168 and tommorow night, stands a hell of a good chance to be the recognized Champ at 175. If Joe wants Pav so bad let him make the 160 limit, then we'll see how that fight goes.:hey

I just wish you guys could see what I see with this **** all the time. It would be like as a Pavlik fan, I constantly posted how easily Pav would own Vernon Forrest, or Roman Karmazin, yeah that'd show how cool Pav is for sure.:good

See bro, this is why I started this thread. It was supposed to give credit to the fighters and leave this horse**** out. This thread was started and intended for Yanks to give credit to Joe. FFS.:bart

****!! I didn't see your latest post above before I put this out. Good post (post # 36).

Pavlik is easily big enough to fight above his weight. He has fought at higher weights anyway...Joe would have to kill himself to make 160, he would literally be a wreck, Pavlik has made and easily would make 168.

In fact Pavlik would be stronger at the higher weight. I have never even mentioned Pavlik until half the board started saying he would thrash Calzaghe and destroy Kessler.

It was Pavlik fans who started talking about how the Super Middles would be obliterated the moment Pavlik got bored of Middle.
If Karmazin fans were on here saying he would smash Taylor and savage Pavlik, I would expect a response.

I am not even a Calzaghe fan, but Pavlik is a naturally big man who would make Super Middle with ease and be in good shape.

Sorry buddy, it is his biggest payday. With the sky high site fees and ticket prices, a ton of money is generated even with a relatively small crowd. 50,000 people attended the Calzaghe/Kessler fight. However, the Mayweather/Hatton fight generated a larger gate with just under 15,500 people attending. Mayweather made more than twice as much as Kessler and Calzaghe made combined. Hatton's guarenteed purse was also higher than both fighters

No Sir!! Those are INCORRECT!! Last 2 fights, Pavlik hadn't even made it back to his dressing room before atleast 10 threads saying: "Oh yeah, Well Calzaghe AND Kessler would beat his ass".:deal Now if you got some Pavlik fans posting in defense of that, sorry if that got you going. Another thing always irks me is why do you guys always capitalize the "AND" as it seems to be real important in making your opinions. Dig me up any thread by a Pavlik fan, proven to be a long time fan at that ( not some drive-by Newbie post) that says any thing about what you've said.

I mean damn, Pavlik fans even had to start threads saying: "Pavlik is a Middle Weight!!" to try to chill some of the damn Cal/Kess people out.

You are right...just about everyone who was gonna fight Joe, was labled as a great fighter, till Joe beats them all, then they are called exposed/hyped and all that haters garbage:good

What part of WV you from buddy? :think

Anyways, I've always enjoyed Calzaghe's fights. I do think he has been protected for most of his career (who hasn't?) and I don't view this -- coming to fight Bernard in LV -- as some huge accomplishment, but I respect him as a fighter...
