He whooped Sergios ass the other night to become the best middleweight in the world but didn't get what he deserved. :hat

Goes to Germany and draws with Sturm. Goes to Argentina and boxes the **** out of Sergio :yep. You will NEVER see an American prepared to do that.

So now you know what he can do, I wanna know how he went down in the US. What you think of him and where you Americans now rate Martin Murray in the middleweight division.

What do I think of Martin Murray, well....

He has absolutely no sense of urgency.

Maybe if he had thrown a few punches in the first 4 rounds,he might have won it.

He was fighting a one handed boxer for part of that fight after all

Solid fundamentals, but not too exciting offensively. Though that could be attributed to his effective gameplan.

  12. Tropical island in the Caribbean, or Detroit. Hmmm it's a tough one.

Yes you're supposed to travel, if you want to fight the best, and the best live abroad.

He came in with a tremendous gameplan and executed it well. I had him winning 7-5 115-112 where he spent mot of the fight walking Sergio down and beating him up. Only me 2nd time seeing him and was very impressed.

He is pretty damn brave to travel to other's backyard. The same could be said about Austin Trout. I have much respect for individuals that aren't afraid to travel.

He boxed Sergio's ears off, but Martinez looked old in there. It will be easier to judge Murray when he's in with a prime fighter, he wouldn;t be the first guy to look impressive in one fight and then fade into obscurity, he needs to carry on impressing.
