No, the French did actually help us win the Revolutionary War by providing arms and funding, as well as tactical support.

However you Brits cannot really claim WW II, that was mostly the Soviets. WW I was a combined effort, and Napoleon lost his army in the frozen tundra of Russia.

If we look at recent conflicts Britain and the US have been involved in many of the same conflicts. So wars that were "exclusively" British are hard to come by. You have the Falklands War, and the revolt in Yemen. Britain withdrew from the latter and won the former.

Wars that are exclusivley American lately are probably Grenada and Panama.

 

You could quite easily come up with american names beaten by those British fighters you mentioned so its hardly an argument is it?
