Talent wise Hatton is several levels above Gatti and only a few levels below Calzaghe. You are talking rubbish mate.

this is a fight that does not interest me, i see mayweather running around potshotting to a ud, hatton cant really hurt mayweather to the body, oscar de la hoya landed some good left hooks to the body which did not hurt mayweather , castillo's body punches didn't hurt him either.

i'd rather watch hatton vs cotto.

Now what has lead you to your conclusion that Hatton is levels about Gatti talent wise? His skillfull, accurate blows?(Or lackthereof), his fancy footwork(oh wait, not that either)...His awesome combinations(well, the hit-n-grab combo)...

Face it, he is a wild slugger, not much more than a pressure fighter, just like Gatti, and he would get completley schooled int he art of Boxing if he were to face a skilled tactical fighter like Mayweather. (Much like he did when he got beat up by Loius Collazo)

That position makes absolutely no sense:?. If he beats (or even makes it close) Hatton he is then in-line for a "very big" payday! Maybe he could even fight for his HONOR?

I'm a PBF fan, but Floyd needs to lose. It's just better for boxing. I think Hatton has the style that could beat him.

I'd root for Hatton, but Floyd takes this by wide UD. People are forgetting Hatton's failed attempt against a slick boxer at 147, and obviously Floyd at 147 is leagues above Collazo.

I diagree with you here. I see Hatton as one of the few fighters that has the quickness to stay in front of Mayweather the whole fight, and really pressure him. As tough as DLH is, he simply wasn't quick enough, or his style was not condusive to keeping sustained pressure on PBF for 12 rounds. If Floyd were to outbox Hatton, which isn't out of the question, he would still be forced to fight.

Talentless? You don't believe that. His resume proves that is nonsense. And Hatton has never ever been picked off at distance, so why would in this fight? He keeps way to close for a fighter like Mayweather to give him problems.

Gatti fights nothing like Hatton. He was a fighter who tried to box often and kept at range. Never mind he was only C-level at the very best. Why do you think this fight would be like Hatton/Mayweather would pay out? Hatton is better and has a different style, which is more of a threat to Mayweather.

t'd be more like Castillo/Mayweather I, only Hatton is better than Castillo ever was.

The big difference in this argument is always this. Mayweatehr fas believe he will win, based on his being better. Hatton fans think he will win because he has the edge stylistically.

I honestly think Hatton would win. Mayweather is a great fighter, but Hatton does have the big edge. How can you watch both fighters and not know this? Hatton would smother and outwork Mayweather, just like Castillo did, and De La Hoya did for half the fight.

Your criticisms dont make any sense at all. Because he's a rough aggresive fighter who's style is not always pretty on the eye that automatically means he hasn't got skills?:huh
His footwork is very good and intrisical to his success (see how he out manouvers most of his opponents, exceelent balance helps alot as well, though he dose get wild sometimes),you dont have to be a fancy defensive genius like Mayweather to have good footwork.
His combos are very solid and well delivered, but I'll admitt his hit an hold habit is getting a bit irritating.
He wasn't schooled by Collazo, most of his problems were caused by the weight difference. Mayweather will beat him fairly convincingly however as he has sublime skills.

Sorry Brits, you still make the best beer, but Hatton doesn't stand a chance against Mayweather.Don't feel bad though, no one really does right now.But Floyd looks like he's going the Roy Jones route anyway, fighting old guys fresh out of retirement instead of anything romotely competitive .No talk of Mosely, Margarito or Hatton, just a lot of ghetto blather and calling out the badly faded Tito.

I agree with you on one point, that PBF is only interested in fights he knows he can win. Which is why he likely won't fight Hatton. Hatton does stand a chance against Floyd because his style would make Floyd very uncomfortable.

What is wrong with you people. Ricky Hatton was the one who continuously turned down a Maywheather fight, kept saying he needs more fights over and over again. This whole thread is stupid.
