Oh the weight was a problem for him at 147, but he walks around at 180....Nice excuse.

It's not a matter of being "pretty on the eyes", thowing and tieing up is not a "style", it's just a compensation for a lack of actual boxing ability. (I'm sure Zakman will attest). He often misses his mark, and wins on sheer number of punches thrown, and frustrating his oponants with his hyperactivity, and wrestling. His 2 biggest fights were won this way, and when it didn't work (against Collazo) he had to move back down in weight where it would.

It wasnt just 2+ years ago. He did not not want any of mayweather for the duration of 2 years. If he is ready then he is ready, but for people to sit here and make it seem like mayweather is somehow afriad to fight him is laughable. I think Hatton is ready to fight him and would give him a good fight because his style is rough, but people can stop the bias name calling. So freakin tacky. Back when mayweather was in jr light he fought a guy named Jesus Chavez, who was an elite contender.

Mayweather was still improving, but Jesus Chavez gave him a good fight. I can sort of see the hatton fight going that way, mayweather would be sitting on his punches much more because hatto would try to pull him to the ropes and rough him up a lot. So Hatton would get hit with uppercuts the whole night and probably a punch he doesnt see. But that was back when mayweather's punching power had a bigger affect. People should not put down mayweathers punching power so much now, he doesn't stand on his bunches like he used to. He still has power, he rocked hoya with a punch in their fight in the 4th round, it was a punch he didn't see because he was throwing wide shots. People underestimate his power to be honest, Hoya stopped throwing jabs because he was getting countered with rights, if they weren't carrying anything on them then he would've just continued throwing jabs.

It would be a good fight nonetheless.

I'd root for Floyd, but otherwise I agree completely with that post, Lampley.

Guys you should all draw the comparison of Hatton to Jesus Chavez in terms of mayweather's opponents. His style is very similar to Hattons, minus the clinch fest.

Do you honestly believe PBF wants any part of Hatton? I hope so. I like both guys and I think it would be a tremendous fight. But I just don't get the feeling that Floyd would take that kind of risk at this point of his career. Thats not name-calling, thats just how it is.

Yes, in a rough fight I think Hatton wins. However, that far from says that Floyd cannot win. He can win if he runs.. and since he puts Forrest Gump to shame... he can win .. and probably will.

Palease Hattons wrestling styles does not allow him too move up in weight and be affective with bigger stronger fighter then himself that has already been proven .. If hatton moves up to 147 and tries that style lets say with Oscar he will be KOed and if he tries the same option with Floyd he will get his ears boxed off.

Nice win for ricky but lets not over do it .

please don't come hear with this BS , Floyd gave ricky 3 chances to fight him, I repeat 3 and all 3 where turned down .. Im pretty sure floyd and his camp already figured out a way to beat Ricky a long time ago , it taken Rick 3 years to figure out a plan and it still looks the same hug hold and punch , but one thing has changed Floyd is now bigger and stronger then he was at 140 and Hattons style is not affective above 140 because he loses strength advantage , beside the Floyd vs hatton boat has sailed and rick is the one that gave it the send off.

This fight should have taken place in 2005 but Hatton was too much of a ***** to fight back then. I see this fight as boxing 101. PBF will catch Hatton coming in with his superior speed and counter punching ability he will move in and out showing angles land almost at will, cut Hatton up and win by UD or TKO. Hatton doesn't have anything for PBF that's why he's ducked him for years.:deal

I agree with this. Expect more PBF hate after he dominates Hatton. I think he'll win a 10-2, 9-3 decision.
