I'll root for gayrunner, only 'cause I'll have a lot of money on him.

i like the pair of them but would be all out for hatton. hatton mayweather would of only been big in the uk two years ago, in the states it would have been just another fight. two years on it's as big a fight as could be made. anyone who thinks hatton wouldn't fight mayweather is ****in braindead

I'm not at all suggesting that Floyd is ducking Hatton. I am familiar with the history on this potential bout. My only suggestion is that it would be a dangerous fight for PBF, and a good fight for boxing. It is also unfair to judge Hatton's ability at 147 based upon one fight, with a pretty tough southpaw no less. I don't think either guy would be too big or too small at 147 to give either a notable advantage. For that matter, I think PBF would actually be better at 140, but whatever. The pot is just starting to simmer on this potential bout. I'll be surprised if Floyd takes it, but I'm holding out hope.

BTW, I'm not one of these Hatton nuthuggers who is here to tell you that Hatton will destroy PBF. I simply believe that the styles of the 2 guys would make for a fantastic fight. We all should be rooting for this. Seriously.

I would like top see Mayweather get beat, but it is very doubtful Hatton could beat him at 147, his only chance would be at 140 and even then, I still see Mayweather winning. I don't think this fight will happen anyway.

Only ignorance would lead someone to say that Gatti is anything like Hatton, in any way shape or form. Nothing alike stylewise but hey, what more should be expected from one of the most ignorant posters on this board

Agreed. Gatti has always been an exciting fighter but not an especially good one(at the highest level). He's had too many losses to remember now and he's been beaten up so badly he is now starting to look Japanese:hey

To just write off Ricky Hatton as an easy opponent isn't too smart. He has proved he is a very very good fighter.

The problem is, I will NEVER pick against Mayweather at any fight 147 down. That's just... dumb. Mayweather is THE BEST.

normally i dislike watching both guys fight. this is the one time, where i think their styles would really make one another very entertaining.

Yeah I want to see Floyd get his ass kicked but with in the rules this still is a sport, in fact I wouldnt be routing for Hatton to beat Floyd hell no, it would be the other way around, even my wife says Floyd would beat his ass and she hates Floyd with a passion.
My wife has always been right, she said her two cents after Ruiz grabbed his way through 12 rounds in the 1st Holyfield fight, she was right about him, and she also said that Hatton is no different than Ruiz this was after his fight with Tszysu and I thought it was a good fight, but after the smoke settled the more time goes on I realize the wife tells the truth, Happy wife Happy life.

None of you appear to be realists.Hatton loses and loses handily either via late TKO or a wide points UD.

The kid aint stupid he knows how to make money. If this fight was going to happen it would have happened already.

I'd route for Hatton. PBF is one of the problems we have with the sport now. He is never in an exciting fight.
