UFC is a fad that is starting to get very tired, if they're still yapping about UFC five-ten years from now I'll be amazed.

Adamek is still an up and coming fighter, but nobody has rocked the guy in 43 fights, unlike all your top 10 in the 90's who were all owned at some point or other.

 

WHat are you talking about Arreola had him hurt and would have kod him had he been in shape. Old washed up Michael Grant also stunned him.. Light punchin Jason Estrada also gave him a competetive fight...

Can you imagine what a prime in shape Mercer or Ruddock would have done to him? Even hyped up Mccall would have wrecked Adamek... So would Moorer,Bruno and a number of other Hws of the 90s. Adamek would have have been loss to Axel Schulz and lucky to get by Frans botha.

 

Arreola made him stumble around because the bottom of his shoe somehow was busted up and he was tripping over it. Michael Grant still packs a huge punch, he got Adamek with a clean punch sure but Adamek clearly won that fight with easy. Estrada was his first heavyweight match up other than the showdown with Gołota done for the Polish fans and again, he easily outboxed an Olympian.

The margin for error for ligth heavy fighting at heavy is very slim. Look at Spinks, who managed to beat washed up Larry Holems, then had to dig up Gerry Cooney and was stripped for figthing Taangstead. As soon as he was battered around by Tyson, he never attempted to fight again.

Roy Jones agaisnt Ruiz? I think subsequent history shows that if Ruiz would have fought with confidence, or Jones would have taken another heavyweight fight, it would have been tough for him.

Or look at Bob Foster, and how he never quite made it. Even Floyd Patterson with his terrific skills and China chin.

Its just a lot of weight, and a ligth heavy really can't make any mistakes when they take these figths.

Michael Moorer might have gotten taken out by Old George, but he still had a number of good wins over quality heavyweights.. And say what you want about Spinks, he at least beat the linear HW champ 2 times as well as a beating a very large and big punching(although faded) Gerry Cooney... No shame in getting squashed by a prime Tyson as he blew out many big legit hws..

Foster lost to atgs Fraizer and Ali... In his other hw losses he hadnt reached his prime and that was before his Lw reign.

I agree with your opinions on Jones but he started out at MW and was actually a JM in the olympics(mw limit in olymics being 156).

You made some good points though as i do think Adamek was a very good fighter at LH and Cruiser.,. Just dont think anything special at HW.

Not going to happen, at least any time soon. Adamek has moved onto the top class of HW, Arreola needs to climb his way there.
