    I think the last great black hope was Paul Williams, when Floyd was ducking everyone and going on vacation "The Punisher" was shouting he'd beat anyone from 147 to 168 and the boards were flooded with black hope :rofl

    I agree, those are the pick of the current crop of talent in America at present. What do you reckon to the other guys like Jonte Willis, Mike Hunter, Nathan James, Fred Allen, ******Jones, Tor Hamer
    Kelvin Price and Amir Mansour (I know the last two are a bit on the old side). Theres a few with decent amateur backgrounds but most seem to lack raw power or size.

    White people are funny. America doesn't need any such thing as a "black Hope".

    We rule the boxing circuit, and have just been set back by Reagan and Bush's racist laws. Likewise, Cuba has been temporarily crippled by the same US laws.
    These will be dealt with in the near future and Russians/Europeans will soon be crying and whining again as they have for the last 100 years of boxing. This little 5 year detour is nothing relative to the big picture.

    I personally think it might just be a racial thing. Blacks/Hispanics usually dominate in boxing whereas you dont see much whites being able to dominate physically in this sport. Whereas you will see a white guy use his quick first step to grab someone and choke them out.

    agreed 100%. I'm from America, and I'm Black. America does not have any "Black Hopes" so can that ****. they like calzaghe better than hopkins, pacquiao better than mayweather, and etc. so you can kill that ****.
