When people are posting up stupidly titled videos like 'Zab Judah: Can't be killed' it's bound to happen :bart

Damn...Prime Judah was a BEAST!!! But it's only a matter of time before posters will start posting his losses and showing his loss to Tszyu, instead of appreciating how skillful and fast he was. But it's typical of the "NEW" ESB. HATERS far out-number the Hardacore Boxing Fans in here now.

Beast or no beast, TS was making a thread trying to belittle one fighter and promote another, it's fair game to show some shortcomings.

Zab was brilliant. People will disagree with me, but even today's Zab, in the first few rounds, will show flashes of what he once was. To me, that's enough to cause an upset considering his power and speed, and Khan's defensive and chin vulnerabilities.

    Mayweather > Judah

    Hopkins > Toney

What sets them apart is their dedication, Zab and Lights out had none.

Judah is the perfect example of why speed is so overrated on this forum. Speed is very important, of course, but people focus on it far too much. A great fighter will often possess other gifts that COMPLIMENT the speed and make him what he is -- intelligence, ringcraft, stamina, skill, excellent timing, toughness, etc. The reason why Floyd Jr has been so successful is because of his ability to remain calm and composed in the ring, the cardiovascular training he undergoes to last the distance, the way he specialises in defence but doesn't neglect his offensive skills, his ability to take away troubling punches like the jab with his pull-counter, etc. If he just had speed he would have lost more than once by now.

Judah is, to be honest, mainly praised for his speed and power. He's an explosive puncher. He's still come up short again and again, though. The fact that he lost to Baldomir should have been enough for people to end the hype once and for all. Judah has mental breakdowns, his stamina has been questionable, his intelligence in the ring is low level, and he's not even particularly skilled. He uses speed and power as a crutch, and never works to flesh out his game as a whole, so he constantly gets exposed and yet never written off. It's true that he's always dangerous in the opening rounds, but it's a bit of a dubious legacy, isn't it? Zab 'always dangerous in the opening rounds, but still nearly always losing when I fight top level fighters' Judah.

He has some good qualities, and I respect him as a fighter willing to get in the ring and take punishment, but people really need to stop hyping him up at this point. It's getting ridiculous.

Judah is in the same bracket as delahoya, lost to every top level fighter he ever faced.
