Being discussed for a bareknuckle showdown, late 2019 (possibly Brave FC 18 in Bahrain, in mid-November). Both men hold victories over common opponent Paulie Malignaggi - first Khan over nine years ago via TKO11 in a WBA light welterweight title match in gloved, MoQ version of the sport, and Lobov just last month @ BKFC 6. Just off the cuff, sideshow act or no, I have to imagine this would be the highest-grossing fight involving two self-identifying Muslims in combat sports history? I'm not sure how long Tyson remained NOI after prison, but I'm pretty sure he deprogrammed by when he fought Danny Williams (already by then himself a convert, I believe?). Prince Naz didn't ever face a fellow Islam adherent, did he?
Khan probably knocks him out early because his initial speed is what most fighters find hard to get to grips with in the early rounds. Wouldn’t be surprised if the deluded Khan got caught and knocked out either.
Khan probably wins this by being a better boxer and reach and speed. But if he gets clipped, GG. No gloves.
Either Khan gets beaten up and runs around like Paulie did or he gets KOd brutally. Whose the next feather fisted fighter from boxing that will embarrass himself fist fighting an MMA guy after this? I personally think Jeff Horn is built for the bare hand brawl. He doesn't mind getting hit and fighting rough.
Why do Muhammadans always have to bring religion into everything? Christians could go on and on about Christian achievements in sports but they never do. At best they get happy when someone from their country achieves something. I have yet to see a Christian from Russia supporting a Christian sportsman from America just because they share the same religion.
Khan is still a world class boxer with his last opponent being arguably the p4p 1. Malignagi is a fat old retired boxer who was no good in the first place and specially no good at bare knuckle with those brittle hands of his. His last fight was a ko loss to eggington. ****in egginton. Khan stops Artem inside the first round. There’s levels to this game.
It’s harder to KO someone without gloves, nobody puts full power on punches, one big punch = 2-3 broken knuckles
Does this represent the most rapid decline in a career in the sport's history? A fight against Crawford, someone in the conversation for the No 1 P4P boxer, followed by a glorified exhibition bout and now a bare knuckle circus show. I know Khan is famous for his speed, but from the top of the mountain to the foothills in under a year? That's seriously quick....
This. Some guys hands are made for punching, most are not. My brittle hands can barely take the heavybag, and it's not like I am an actual puncher.
I dont see this happening but if it were to happen Khan would make this look easy. We are talking levels and Khan is still operating a world class level.
I don’t know how strict contracts are in the world of bareknuckle right now, but at the presser after the Paulie fight, a reporter asked Artem if he was open to going back to MMA or even boxing and the promoter of BKFC kind of lightheartedly butt in after Artem gave the typical “I’ll fight anyone anywhere” type answer to basically say Artem won’t be doing that until his contract is over. So currently this seems like a crazy dream moreso than anything with a real chance of happening but who knows? Brave does have some money backing it
Khan would fall apart once he got neck clinched whilst being pummeled with no one to separate them That chin them gloves No balance Make it less money than fighting that featherweight More risk it should be made as I'm told Khan as balls the risk would out way the paycheck It will never happen
