Yes, I timed both in youtube clips and they are both around 5-6 punches per second...although Gamboa has more variety

Look at Pacquiao, his chin's improved as hes moved up, I dont think it happens to everyone but I'm not sure we'll see Khan get caught cold like that again for a long time, improved defence will help but I will be interested to see him take a hard, flush punch again and see how he deals with it. Also, he needs to beat Prescott to move on imo, until he exorcises that particular demon it'll be hanging over him.

It does though. He was draining himself to make weight before so him going up in weight will improve his punch resistance. Dont get me wrong I'm not saying all of a sudden he will have a solid chin because he wont, but everyone over exagerrates how bad his chin is... the punch he took off Prescott would have taken out most boxers. Infact going on the Prescott fight, stick Kahn in with him now and he would win. That fight was a fluke, Kahn got caught with an absolute bomb.. and from watching both fighters careers take a different path from that fight I think if they were to fight again, Kahn would take him out. Speed kills.

What kind of demon is Prescott? If Prescott is a demon than Khan has exorcised in the best way possible....becoming a world champion. The life of a boxer is too short for that kind of luxuries. He should move on to more meaningful fights. Fights that may add to his bank account and define his career. If he beats Prescott, which I am sure he would, in what way would that advance his career.

Its been known since his amateur days that he has a chin problem. Going up in weight might help his bodies punch resistance but it is not going to do anything to the mental effects of your head moving at force.

I agree Prescott is nothing special and got lucky. If that first fight was refought, even then I think Khan would win 7 out of 10 of them. However the punch that KO'd him would of put a lot of boxers down. What was more telling was the fact his legs were all over off a jab prior to the first KD

i disagree, your chin can improve, dehydration, lack of core strength, neck muscles and leg muscles can all contributed to a weak chin:good

the new Kid Chocolate looks like a respectable prospect, but his hand speed is far from blinding... He isn't faster than Khan, he may be better, I don't know, but he isn't faster...

Pac, Mayweather and Khan are all around the same general level of speed. The gaps between them are too small to really be considered especially significant.
