Amir kahn has the worst chin in boxing history

This business about Khan having a terrible chin is a myth. He has an at best average chin (probably mediocre) what his biggest trouble is he has a TERRIBLE DIABOLICAL defence.

Examine the evidence his KO losses -
1) Presscott - at LW and at that point Presscott was a very big puncher and undefeated in 18 before facing Khan had won 16 by KO, only two of his wins by points and one of them was richar abril. Khan got clipped and couldnt recover but Khan caught because he just sat in the pocket with Presscott too long and didnt move his head at all. Also he (and i cant stress this enough as the worst thing a boxer can do) goes in and out the pocket straight lines.

2) Danny Garcia - this is the one where i think his chin is most called in to question but worth noting that DG was 23 - 0 with 14 KOs and the guys DG didnt KO were the likes of Nate Campbell and Barrea. Here Khan gets over confident and commits an even worse offence than what i put above he moves forward and backwards in a straight line with his hands down and its a peach of a shot, one that DG is known for.

3, Alvarez - i mean with this one come on, name me a fighter who comes up two weight divisions and would of rode that shot. Again Khan gets over confident from early success moves in and out with hands down again (almost like his thinks his hand and foot speed can save him) and Canelo times him perfectly with a shot i dont think he has ever thrown as sweet, also it helps that canelo could put it all in for that shot as he didn't have to worry about what Khan was thrown.

4) Crawford - ok so again Khan fights one of the worlds best p4p and gets totally out classed and knocked down but not knocked out if Khan chin was as **** as everyone says it was the beating he was taking Crawford would have got him out of there. I know Crawford isnt a monster puncher but was all over him, if khan had a cadburys chin it was getting tested enough by TC.

5) Maidana - just watch the fight if Khans fabled chin is that disastrous he doesnt get out of that fight awake, just look at the flush punchers he takes at a weight and age that suited him, probably his best win/performance

In truth i think its a case of this -

1) Great attack and speed
2) mediocre chin
3 truly dog awful defence

 

He had ariza shakes

He said the other day he would rematch chino he says alot but we know he really wouldn't
But what suggested the other day he would not face chino under the tutelage of ariza
And by this account you would have to include garia
Hence Khan knew he caught relative green underfunded maidana
And he was dragged to that fight kicking and screaming begging Oscar to pay him step aside money yet again

 

This i agree with bar the mediocre chin
Its a glass chin 100 per cent

But not the worst of all time as the thread states
Just gets exposed far more often than other glass chins due to the other factors you listed above

Although the glass was double glazed i must admit during the Madina fight to his credit

 

Gets involved in fights .should box more but doesn't. Needs to pack it I soon or he is going to end up punchy.
