Everything at first says Matthysse all day but Khan could survive a war, shocking as that must be noted. Matthysse was less mauling but hit harder individually than Maidana, though, so probably not this time. Could he be kept at bay by Khan? Would have been entertaining guaranteed.
I'd say mathysse but then...I have no idea how khan survived maidana so he might pull it out. Good match up this... not as clear cut as you first think I'll go with mathysse ko..just cos his straight punches and hooks were lethal and he was better at disguising what he was gonna hit you with than that version of maidana that shot his load against khan
I'd favour Matthysse to KO him because he counters and openly trades when hit. People always bring up the Maidana fight but styles make fights. Maidana isn't a counter puncher, when Khan fired on him he shells up he doesn't look to punch with him or block and counter like Matthysse would. Khan biggest issue is when he opens up with combo's he's there to be countered it's what saw him KO'ed vs Prescott and Garcia.
Shrewd business move unify against Khan or change promoters wait around a little longer and get Pacquiao (a Bob Arum promise that actually came to fruition)
I think mattysse folds him. Danny g needed 20+ low blows and a corrupt ref to keep mattysse off of him. I dont think kahn knows how to survive.
Matthysse by (T)KO or Khan by speedblitz. Khan was at his physical prime in 2010. One of the fastest boxers ever.
Khan outworks him from distance But Matthysse was one of the best during that period, rough Judah & Alexander decisions kept him away.
in 2010, can see Khan winning this. His size and length advantage, plus his speed and combination punching, I can see befuddling the machine.
