Amir khan agrees 1 million wage cut to save fight

    Still a fair amount in my opinion. This is a fight that no-one was really interested in, so I'm not going to feel bad that he's not being paid millions for it.

    true, khan is the one pushing for this fight because he wants to fight for his fans at home. I think its nice of him though.

    That's the reason it was taken off though, Sky made the decision because they needed at least one decent fight on the undercard. Fury-Rahman fell through, and before that Macklin-Ghevor didn't materialise. Nobody is going to pay 16 quid for Khan stopping McCloskey in 3 rounds, it doesn't make sense, too many fights are on PPV anyway. The decision is hopefully justified as it could add at least 1 million to the viewing figures. :rasta

    Khan shouldn't even fight in the UK there's no point trying to please his fans, go to US make money and retire, too many people pulling out of fights and taking the p*ss, no point dealing with Hatton promotions etc. stick to US and goldenboy make the dollar and leave you can't please everyone.
