Then why not just give him what he wants, and put him in a position where he has nothing to use as an "excuse"? Floyd can't use the split as an excuse...it should be 50/50. Both have proven they can average about 1M buys. And neither should have to make less than their highest purses (testing aside...that's where it will become tricky, IMO). After all, it's supposed to be the biggest fight, financially, in history. There should be enough for neither to have to take a pay cut, to make it happen.
They're not asking for OSDT. It was only Judah who demand Mosley to take the random blood test on that article. And what was the reply of GBP? **** No!
For crying out loud pac fans. Don't you ever get tired dealing with *****s on the OSDT issue. These bunch are hell bent on defying logic to defend their hero. Want to clean-up the sport? Make petition to the commission changing the drug test policy. Why did Floyd picked JMM for a tune up fight? To send Pacman a message, Floyd is all mind games. He will **** you to get you off your game, that's how it is. I don't know if *****s have seen that. Here comes Pacman oblitereating Hatton at Cotto. Even Sr. can't believe Pacman brutally KO Hatton within two rounds the same feat took his son 10 round to accomplish but not in a brutal manner. That's when Sr. started spinning the Riods issue and now he wants both camp to put a spy on the training camp if ever there will be negotiation for the fight in the future. Why'd Mosley said yes to OSDT? It's for the money. Why'd Mosley left GBP to get a shot at Pacman? It's for the money. How'd the last negotiation turned out? Floyd said he'd take be taking rest because he hasn't have the urge to get into the ring yet. Did floyd ever said something about Pacman turning down the OSDT on the second negotiation? NO. Meaning the 7 day window offered on the table is good. How can you ever justify the 18 days window againt the 7 days. They won't even test within 18 days to the fight. What did Floyd camp said instead? Negotiation never took place.
Floyd and everyone else (meaning Sr. Roger, Jeff, Koncz, etc.) is saying Manny will not agree to OSDT. Nothing has changed. Where have you been? Manny is quoted (by his close friend Amir) as saying..."he is not ready for that". Did you skim over that part? You, and many of these other Floyd haters, seem to block out or just fail to understand that the 18 day vs 7 day argument is a FAIL. The 18 day window is NOT static, which is why Manny is only willing to agree to a predetermined (STATIC) 7 day cutoff, to alleviate his concerns that he MAY be tested up to the day of the fight (an option he was given in Jan. and he balked at it). He is asking that the complete randomness be removed from the testing, as opposed to just preparing for the fight and letting the testing agency do what it sees fit. Since he an Shane have already completed a "proof of concept" for the OSDT, it is obvious Floyd is not going to make any concessions for Manny, where that is concerned.
That issue has already been addressed by PAC it's just that FLOYD is on vacation and doesn't have the urge. I don't wanna go to he said these and that, coz it's going nowhere. Truthfully, I'd love to see these two gifted fighters to settle down the score once and for all. But it looks like it's nowhere on sight right now. It would really be the biggest fight that will ever take place in the history of boxing. Let's just cross our fingers. :hat
Their claim was that no negotiation ever took place the second time around. You should have sticked to that but then their cover was blown by HBO. It was Floyd himself who said he doesn't have the urge to get into the ring yet and will be taking some time off. It was never about negotiation failure on the cut-off. Again his camp claims that the second negotiation never took place. It never took place, for crying out loud. "He is asking that the complete randomness be removed from the testing, as opposed to just preparing for the fight and letting the testing agency do what it sees fit." Proof of concept OSDT stopped at 18 days prior to the fight. The contracted agency decided on that, and they have legitimate reason. Why stopped within 18 days when you're dealing with a know past PED user in Mosley? Are you better than the agency conducting the test? Oh yah Pacman just take the test? Want to clean up the sport? Go to the commission and change the policy on drug test there. I do not want to waste my time dealing with childish rebuttals. Please try harder.
I agree, it is the fight I want to see...sooner than later. But, I don't agree Pac addressed anything. He just made another offer. When Pac presents an offer, where he is not trying to manipulate the cutoff, which compromises the nature and efficacy of the testing, and Floyd balks at that offer...you will see a marked change in my stance.
I honestly don't even think the testing is the issue anymore. Otherwise Floyd and Ellerbe would have still been screaming Pac won't take the tests - not Crackhead Sr and Roger. Ellerbe said there were no negotiations. Why? I'll tell you why, because if the general public found out that Floyd, after only asking for a 14 day cut off last time, was now refusing when Pac agreed to a 7 day cut off, he would look like a total *****. That's why they went for the "no negotiations" route. The drug testing isn't stopping this fight, Floyd not wanting it is.
Floyd's statements about the negotiation not taking place, leave room for interpretation. We all know somebody was negotiating. We don't know the level of Floyd's involvement, in these talks. We know Team Pac made an offer through Greenburg. That's it. We don't know what Floyd's actual feelings were about the offer. He never said. But, he, and his camp, are still going on about Manny not accepting the OSDT demand. Pac saying he agreed to "everything", left room for interpretation too...until, they admitted they did not agree to full testing. This leads me to believe, it is still a roadblock. "Why stopped within 18 days when you're dealing with a know past PED user in Mosley?" --The USADA does this type of comprehensive testing routinely, in other sports, they should know what they are doing. Floyd and Shane did not REQUIRE them to stop, at any particular point and time. Also, they were not aware of when the testing would occur during training, what the cutoffs would be, what type of testing would be required on a particular day, etc. It was truly random, up to the fight. USADA, said, they tested after the fight too. They even save the samples for future testing. If you were being objective, you would easily see the difference between what Manny is requesting and what Floyd and Shane underwent.
Pac doesn't need to go do what Mayweather wants. Do not tell me Floyd has agreed to all of Pacman's demands because there was none that Pac requested. Gloves? It's a known fact that Pac uses 8oz. Ring size? It was Floyd's demand. Purse split? It's common sense that both are considered number one in the sport so an even purse split is a must unless one of them demand something higher which Floyd actually did. Floyd wanted 60-40 but Pac didn't want that so what Arum and Greenberg did was add another 10% to Pac's purse actually making a 60-50 split. Weight class? Pac was the linear Champ at 140 at the time of the first negotiation but Pac agreed to fight Mayweather at 147 no more no less no catchweights. Floyd wanted the fight at 154 and Pac said no because Pac has never been up that high back then. Since Floyd had a history of not making weight, Pac's team demanded a 10mill per pound penalty to make sure Floyd won't pull the same **** he pulled against JMM. FLoyd didn't seem to have any problems paying up a 600k penalty so Pac's team made sure Floyd would be uncomfortable thinking of doing it. This might might actually be the reason why Pac decided to fight at jrmiddleweight to see if he can bang with a person bigger than him and he proved he can. So if Mayweather demand that the fight happen at 154, Pac will fight at 154 no catchweights. Pac will just weigh in at 148 and come in at 148. Floyd can't make 154 either. Floyd weighed in less than 154 when he fought ODLH and if Floyd ever does this, Pac will **** him up with speed because as we all know, Floyd slowed down significantly above 147. OSDT is Floyd's last bargain to not fight Pacquiao. Even that doesn't hold any value anymore because pac has been vocal lately that he'll then take the ****ing test to make the fight happen even when he's uncomfortable with it according to Khan ALTHOUGH i think Khan is baiting Floyd to just fight Pac thinking that Pac is still uncomfortable with the whole idea even though Pac has said he'll take the test. Floyd Sr. who is the one who instigated the whole idea that Pac is on PEDS, has a new bull**** he's been spewing around. Besides OSDT, he wants a member of their team to watch pacquiao train. He wants that person to watch Pacquiao 24/7 and Pac can do the same to floyd BUT WHO DOES THAT ****. WHAT KIND OF BULL**** IS THAT? These whole pile of **** being conjured by the Mayweathers is stinking up the sport. They are not out there to clean the sport. They are out there to ruin it.
^^ There was an article around here showing that it was Pacquiaos Team who brought up the cut off date, when its suppose to be RANDOM by USADA..Then the cut off date battle began... You guys can say whatever you want, Pacquaios not scared of taking the blood test just not so close to the fight because he feels like he will loose power or will feel weak or whatever, But the main point here is, HE DOESNT FEEL 100% CONFIDENT and is MENTALLY WEAK if tests were actually random up to the fight, you say its all mental by Floyd Mayweather, well then he won that battle.
Yeah it was Pac's team who brought up the cuttoff dates because OSDT is part of a negotiation that Floyd is trying to implement. Pac doesn't need to go through it if he doesn't want to. If Pac doesn't want to fight Floyd, all he has to do is say no but since he'll get called out if he doesn't try to negotiate, they wanted cutoff dates to make it happen. ( PAC really wants Floyd TRUST ME )
I'll be brief... Some fair points. I am familiar with the timeline, and events. I have been following this saga from the beginning. Some things you said, don't seem accurate. But, I could be wrong. Anyway, this whole "Pac doesn't need to go do what Mayweather wants", is exactly why this fight never got made. In this case, it appears that...YES, he does, if he wants THIS fight to occur. Pac knows it too.
You don't get it. Floyd is not the boss of Pac. Floyd wanted OSDT, Pacquiao negotiated. TWICE. IF OSDT is what the commission wanted, Pac will have no problems with it but since it's Floyd, he won't get his way. Just the way it is. Floyd is nobody's boss.
No...YOU don't get it. It's not about who is "boss". It's the most meaningful fight for both guys, right now. Floyd will do what Manny is asking. Manny will have to do what Floyd is asking, if he wants this fight.
