Hot on the newswires is Amir Khan's next opponent..........

    The great Martin Kristjansen!

The feather fisted Dane who pulled out with the flu, resulting in the St. Clair fight.

This is being billed as a WBO eliminator, hot on the heels of the WBO electing to strip Juan Diaz of his title.

Sounds like more than a co-incidence to me!

So what? You remember who B-Hop won his title from after losing to RJJ and RJJ vacating the IBF strap?

Who cares...let him win the WBO title to say he's a champ. He's young, and has to bide his time if he wants to survive against the likes of Hatton, Cotto, PBF, etc.

Backwards step in opponents ability but not in career progression for that elusive title. I'm no Khan fan but I do think he is ready for a title fight now. Not saying he would defo win but he is at that level.

How can an eliminator possibly be a backwards step?

he wont fight them unless he moves up a weight for hatton and 2 for maywather and cotto

i think it is a backward step should have fought yuranov or katsidas

Because absolutely any old fight can be deemed an eliminator. All it means is the loser will not get a title shot in the near future, and is no indicator of a good matchup or a decent opponent.
Khan's career it seems is starting to flatter to deceive, and it will cost him at some point.
