While watching the Khan fight P.M seemed to be doing quite well in the early rounds until he "fell over\got pushed over". After this point (as soon as he got up) i noticed that he had dropped a hand, his punch output dropped and it was from this point that he started to clearly loose the fight.

Does anyone else agree that Khan hit him with a good body shot just before PM fell over. I am not saying Khan sent him down with the body shot alone as he did push him down too, but i just want to know if anyone else noticed how PM changed after that point? I think it was in round 3 but i cant be 100% sure.

Just interested in if anyone else thought that it was one body shot (which was hard to see on camera) that changed the fight? watch it again and see what you think. When i get up (i am writing this at 5:20am just after the fight!) i will re watch and let you know exactly when it happens.

Yep the punch changed the fight. It took it out of paulie. Paulie went down on his own accord and maximised it

That's funny...I didn't see Malignaggi doing "quite well" in the early fights. I saw him trying to put up a fight and then getting swarmed.

it definitely took alot out of Paulie, it was in the liver, and that can have a debilitating yet delayed effect.

I think, as usual, boxing commentators made you think you saw something that wasn't really there. Malignaggi's decline in that fight didn't happen in just one instant. He was trying hard at first and then Khan had him completely figured out and began to systematically break Paulie down behind the jab.

I thought it should have been a KD he got hit bent down and fell they semi clinched so it appeard to be a slip. And I had it 2-2 pr 3-1 Khan early the punch took some wind outta the sails

I thought that Khan's body shots looked dangerous, but he didn't throw enough of them. One of the flaws in a generally impressive performance.

Yeah you could tell the affects coming to the end of the fight. Paulie's legs began to wobble just from the jav

Yeah, I agree with MarcoPolo that he could have should a great deal more body shots.... He can throw them pretty well, I dont understand why he doesn't work them more in his inside game.

Body position. Paulie's an awkward boxer. Paulie is a smart boxer he's not gonna let himself get hit with the same shot repeatedly.
Khan never really threw many body shots in the early part of his career. So he's new to the whole thing. It takes time to master it properly. And I mean not only seeing it but throwing it EXACTLY when you see it
