OK, that was a stick on bet to happen, he's more or less on Team Pacquiao even though he's been very careful not to show direct support to either of them and it did make me laugh a bit.

I don't think that was Amirs best idea to go out there but it looked like it got him and he was fairly annoyed. It looked like that stage was the last place on earth he wanted to be ... what do you think of the booing from the Brit fans?

Fair, unfair or a bit harsh?

It's idiotic if you ask me and symptomatic of the sort of morons Hatton attracts, it's the football mentality methinks

I don't think that was on their mind to be fair, I think it was part Amirs connection to Wild Card & Amirs reputation as a disliked hyped up Frank Warren fighter. I thought it was pretty bad form, if they didn't want to show support to him that could have at least give him a lethargic but respectful clap.

Hopkins getting booed isn't a problem because he's an old hand at this **** and he feeds off that role. When you boo B-Hop, it's like a pantomime type boo.

I think peop[le need to remember what age Amir Khan is.

I think the fans can boo or cheer whoever they want.

Its all a bit of fun and good banter at the end of the day - the Hatton-Pac weigh in was like a pantomine! Mosley, De la Hoya cheered. Hopkins and Khan booed.

I'm sure all the booed fighters are big enough to take it on the chin. (maybe not Khan!)

It was a bit harsh I thought, I'd rather people get behind Khan, but people pay their hard earnt money to go over there they got the right to boo or cheer who they want. I wouldnt mind being booed every day of the week if I had Khan's money.

    agreed :good
But i think it could be character building for the lad too. IF him and hatton do fight further down the road then he at least knows what to expect. but yeah i think the connection to wild card and the fact a lot of brits dont like kahn had a lot to do with it too, but it must have been obvious to him that it was bound to happen, so it shows a bit of bottle on amir's part for turning up anyway.

Khan obviously didn't want to be on that stage there, and after the reception he got can you blame him. I thought it was pretty shameful really that BRITS should pay all that money and travel all the way over there and then boo one of there own in front of millions on TV. It's not like Amir Khan's disrespectful of cocky to the extent of Naz. He says some stupid things yes, but come on he's 22 and a brit for christs sake. I dont like Calzaghe but i'd never ever boo him, ESPECIALLY OVER ON FOREIGN GROUNDS IN FRONT OF THE WORLDS MEDIA. To me it just let the fans down again as did the whole 'national anthem' thing

It is typical of our ridiculous british mentalility to not get behind our own. Granted khan can be a gobshite sometimes, but tell me a 22 year old who can't every now and then. Christ JC is 37 and he still spouts some utter shite

Sometimes to me I just get the impression that it must be a football thing. ?? Its the kind of thing English football fans do.... Boo other national anthems, berate our own English players in club matches ie Beckham throughout the whole season after World Cup 98.

    Any agree ?
