    Yes. And he will be.

P4P number 3 at least by 2013/14. Quote me on this.

What gives me such confidence in Khan is the fact that he himself has massive amounts of self confidence. He seems to have this crazy desire and ambition to be a true great, I haven't seen such self confidence in a british fighter like that since Lennox Lewis.

There are boxers who beat no atg but are considered atg's chavez and wlad for example, khan can beat up morales and have beaten a great but it wouldnt be worth more than what lebedev has now.
Very good solid wins over fighters that might turn into greats/hof boxers add to his legacy, a long with longetivity, winning belts in divisions, being a force p4p ranked guy, beating a guy like bradley or berto might help, for all we know they go on to have great careers and it will be a legacy boost like sanchez over nelson for example.
As long as he keeps fighting the besthe can become very good even if he loses a few fights in the end.

The best Amir could hope for is to be put in the Buddy McGirt column. Buddy is the closest to being great without being one.

khan has the tools to be great but has to go out there and do it. he seems to be very dedicated and with roach in his corner improving every fight. he's not a perfect tecnical fighter but he's becoming harder and harder to beat because he's making the most of his physical attributes, ei, his speed, height, reach.

mallignagi and judah have both said amir is extremely difficult to beat over 12 rounds. so it will take a very good fighter to do that. imo the only guys in the 140 - 147 bracket who would beat amir are manny, floyd and maybe guerrero. amir would be able to handle guys like berto and ortiz imo.

Of course he can. If he keeps improving.

There's gonna be a void when Floyd and Manny leave the Welterweight division and Khan is a prime candidate to take over there.

He's got one of the best trainers in the buisiness, speed, decent power and a good build for it. Outside of the big 2 I'd have him favourite to beat any LWW or WW.

His chin is still dodgy (no matter what some of his fans try to say) but he's strengthening his legs and learning to survive when he gets put on wobble street.

Things are looking very promising for Khan. He might even time his fight with Floyd perfectly in a couple of years, if Floyd starts slowing down he'll have a good chance. Don't get me wrong, Floyd would destroy him now but every fighter gets past it as some stage.

I think, if any guy has the chance of being in a 'right person at the right time' situation where they beat a faded Floyd, it's Khan or Martinez (maybe Canelo too), and I don't think Floyd will ever risk his '0' against Sexy Sergio.

The Pac fight 'aint ever happening.

Khan has the skills, the talent and the potential - but he needs the right fights to become considered great and only time can tell that tale.

Now Khan vs Canelo is a match I'd love to see.

BTW I think Khan can go a long long way. If he'll be great or not I'm still unsure :conf

I'd say not many people people would doubt he has the skills to certainly become p4p champ one day, once Pac and Floyd are gone anyway.
Was thinking today though, if the whole Prescott episode had never happened and there was less of a question mark on his chin, how highly would his future be rated?

    I don't know about great, but I do believe he'll become a top 3 or 5 P4P fighter..

I think Khans whiskers along with lack of in-fighting ability will be his down fall. He really does not have an inside punch to keep you off him and he has horrid defense on the inside. It almost got him knocked out against crude ass Maidana.
