The Peterson fight was pretty pro - Peterson, naturally speaking though since he was the home fighter, but you could hear that there were many people for Khan also. I actually have cousins who live in D. C and people don't know who Lamont is either. He's hardly a phenomenon by any stretch.
Bollocks. You're acting like his fans were branding him a PPV star or something. Not the case at all. No one claimed him to be a special superstar on the level of Pac, May, etc. But what he was, was probably the biggest name in his respective division. Guys like Bradley, Alexander, Peterson, Berto, etc, couldn't draw up the same level of hype/attraction that Khan did.
That doesn't help me from having to keep this picture he gave me last week on the refrigerator: This content is protected The poor wee *******. :-(
They had 6 weeks to promote this fight FFS Plus many fans could not get refund from Peterson-Khan rematch.. ***** ass haters...
You don't know ****. As evident by this thread. Laughing at Khan -- a foreign fighter -- for drawing in more numbers/hype than US fighters like Bradley, Peterson, and Alexander. Which, again for a foreign fighter, is pretty decent. Nobody was expecting him to hit May, Pac or Cotto numbers. Currently, he hasn't been that far behind a JMM. I think you're confusing him with his status in the UK - where he IS a massive superstar.
you might want to check Alexanders ticket sales in St Louis it is much much more than Khan does in the States. Khan is the King of the papered house when he fights here. Nobody cares.
