Phil Lo Greco throwing his cap in the ring:

Eddie Hearn is apparently whittling down a short-list with a dozen names on it:
Sam Egginton, Adrian Granados, Breidis Prescott II, Frankie Gavin, Carlos Molina II, Gary Corcoran, Keita Obara, Saul Corral, Bradley Skeete, Ray Robinson, Aaron Herrera and Rénald Garrido.

No guarantee the winner of the Khan sweepstakes is chosen from among that list, but most likely they will be.

Khan should pick someone with some form of name value so he doesn't look like a complete scam artist just trying to get paid. Lo Greco at least has the Spence bout that gives him some clout, Skeete may be too much for Khan like Algieri was, Prescott is shot enough for Khan at this point and he can lie and say he is avenging a score.

It won't be anybody that can punch a lick, IMO - so rule out Granados, Corcoran, Obara, Gavin, Eggington, and maybe the Prescott rematch (even though I think Khan should be able to comfortably outbox him to avenge that one by now if he wants to),

Of the feather-fists that are left, my preference order would be:

Skeete (just flat-out deserves it the most, and has the best chance of actually defeating Khan)
    Garrido
    Joya Herrera
    Molina II
    Corral

I left out "The New" Ray Robinson because he has a fascinating match-up versus Yordenis Ugas scheduled for February, and I'd rather not see that scuppered just to throw him in with Khan (since he wouldn't be my first choice anyway, he'd be third down my list after Skeete & Garrido)

How does the Spence bout give Lo Greco any clout? He got absolutely mauled, remember?

A lot of people had it 19-19 before the stoppage (not me, I had it 20-18 Spence Jr.) but that was only because the opener was a nothing round and Errol was just getting warmed up & feeling his victim out. Then it got violent in a hurry. PLG is regional level.

Where's Joshua's name on that list? I'd market AJ vs AK as 'Wife & Death'

I'd love to see him rematch Prescott, and be savagely KO'd again.

Although that's wishful thinking, he'll box his ears off and stop Prescott late.

It ain't gonna be Savage Sam, Liam Smith, Liam Williams, Granados, Obara or Skeete, they can all beat him, on second thought, he might end up facing Lo Greco after all. Or maybe Corral, Theophane or Herrera.

Mimoune has earned it but won't in a million years get it. Too risky (mostly to do with awkwardness, despite his lack of punch, just like Skeete) for zero reward.

The actual best h2h opponent from Hearn's shortlist has to be Eggington, right? So absolutely nil chance of Khan vs. Eggington, then. Matchroom wouldn't sign up Khan just to risk wasting him on a loss first thing as he starts his comeback, they'll be wanting to milk a few shillings more before cashing him out (preferably with a big name overseas)

Khans usual opponents = feather fisted or average power max

    a' name' in USA

Past it or moving up a division.

And he still usually struggles with them lol

Should give Julio Diaz his deserved rematch if hes still fighting!

It won't be Eggington or Skeete cause Khan likes his opponents to be known in USA. Expect a past it feather fisted 140 American or Mexican.
