You mean against Eyubov? That's been 1½ years already bruh. Time flies.

Anyway, even if he got the nod, scraping by a 10-0 green prospect making their first step up doesn't exactly get you a seat at the big table fighting someone like Amir Khan (or inspire confidence that you can be competitive with him).

I was (kinda) being sarcastic about Mayfield being too dangerous for Khan. He is, as I've long said, a poor man's Porter (somebody that legitimately is too dangerous for Khan - but is also more than a class or two above Mayfield)

Yeah poor man's porter true, both former football players. Funny they both fight like football players at times

If he's the Brook we know and love, yes. If the last couple of years have done a number on him, though (and remember in this sport that kind of rapid decline often happens in the blink of an eye, between fights..)

Well we're going to see them fight this year, prepare financially and lay some money down. Great side stream of income

If he is back in the UK with SKY and Hearn, he needs to go with the great Joe Gallagher. Joe does train fighters out of Khans gym if I recall correctly or used to i forget.

I'm the most anti- Virgil Hunter person you'll ever find, but why does a change in promoter necessitate a change in trainer?

Not sure I follow the logic. Plenty of guys hop across the pond alternating between US and UK dates (while appearing on TV networks in both countries) and just have their coaches hop a flight when needed.

Could be right. I just expect a change, a fresh start to the final chapter in his career. Maybe I'm wrong though.
