Prescott - big money might which will also allow him to wipe that blemish from the public's eye.
Murray - big Manchester money fight.
McCockskey - Ire Vs Gb and a big money fight.

What about you, LP? Barrera maybe? ;)

I'd love for Hennessy to pull one out of the bag and announce john Murray at 140 versus khan at men.

But Peterson would be mad to turn down a fight with khan - big money and presumably a chance to get a title.

khans a quality fighter who i don't think is scared of prescott but if he doesn't avenge the loss now then it will be him avoiding prescott due to the risk-reward ratio of the fight. i understand it from a business perspective but don't expect to be ranked like the best or not to recieve abuse about it. prescott isn't in a position where he would ask for insane money or any crazy demands. he is still in a position where he would just be happy to be paid.

Katsidis, would be sparked out in 2-3 rounds anyway.

I know the GIMPS here on the British Forum, love Katsidis. Because he's all humble, and sucks his oponents off in hospital after he fights them.

But at the end of the day, i don't even know why Katsidis is being mentioned in the same context as Amir Khan.

The same with JMM, Amir Khan will **** him up aswell.

JMM cannot go up in weight, he does not have the attributes to fight the real top guys at 140-147.

I think Ortiz,I think Khan`s team will view it as a fairly easy fight for him against a guy who is known in the states.
A rematch with Prescott would be cool but I dont see it happening.I think Khan just wants to forget about that guy.

i think ortiz could be a dangerous fight, if he makes the same mistakes that he did against maidana ortiz could put him away

On November 27th brave challenger Michael Katsidis gave a good account of himself inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada as he attempted to wrestle away the WBA and WBO lightweight crowns from Mexico City's Juan Manuel Marquez. Despite being stopped in the ninth round, the rugged Australian would register a scorching knockdown in third and repeatedly put his neck on the line in one of the year's best fights.

Katsidis was dealing with the emotional turmoil that came after the apparent suicide of his brother Stathi just weeks prior and he gained a lot of respect in the boxing community for finding a way to go through with the fight.

Two weeks after the Marquez-Katsidis bout, WBA junior welterweight chamopion Amir Khan produced a classy victory as he dropped Argentinean challenger Marcos Maidana in the first round before weathering a late storm and hanging on to capture a unanimous decision victory. Khan absorbed some huge blows from Maidana and was able to answer questions anyone had about his courage or lack of 'chinmanship'.

Interestingly enough, after taking some time to regroup, Team Katsidis let it be known that Khan was one of their next options moving forward.

"I believe that [Khan-Katsidis] is a fight that would absolutely fill anywhere in England, and that's a fight that would be watched all over the world and it makes a great fight," Brendon Smith, manager to Katsidis, would tell the AAP. "At the moment Michael is taking a little bit of time with his family, of course to grieve, but at this stage we'd like to set [the fight] for April or May."

While Katsidis and his crew seem to be on board for a fight of such magnitude, Khan doesn't appear to be a willing dance partner. Updating his followers from his personal Twitter account earlier today, Khan cleared the air on the Katsidis rumors.

"Just for your information I aint fighting Michael Katsidis and we aint even got him in our mix," the champion stated.

Khan returned home to his native UK just ten days ago after spending the past three months in various loacations in America, with a brief training stint in the Philippines nestled in between. The British superstar appears to be on course to defend his belt against American challenger Lamont Peterson sometime in April in England.

This fight would really interest me actually. Amir needs to learn how to cope with these type of fighters and Mike Kats brings serious heat. He maybe very easy to hit and technically poor, but he's a big lightweight who fights with urgency and throws the type of punches that always catch Khan.

All the names mentioned so far are pretty decent for this type of fight.

    Serious heat to who..?

Amir Khan has just beaten a fighter, who would beat the living **** out of Katsidis.

Why is Katsidis even being mentioned, in the same context as Amir Khan.

Katsidis is a "No Mark" at 140 and above.........he's a absolute "No Mark"

Just because he's all humble, and sucks off his opponents **** in the hospital after he fights them.

All the gimps here on the British forum love him, and praise him like he's flying the flag for Britain and representing like David Haye & Carl Froch................but the fact of the matter is, he's not and he is a straight forward fighter..........who will be beaten down badly if Amir Khan ever faces him.

Amir Khan should be bothering with other top fighters at 140, not brit forums gay pin up boy........."Katsidis" and then there's the other gay pin up boy JMM, who also needs to **** right off....

Amir Khan needs to be bothering with fighters who are versitile, have serious slick skill, can fight on the inside or outside........

Katsidis is a good guy, a warrior no doubt about that...........

But seriously, shut the **** up about him guys.

I agree, Peterson would be a good fight to adapt to these slick black American fighters I keep hearing on the GF about.

Khan next two fights will/should be vs Peterson and Bradley/Alexander all Black American slick fighters.

Amir is at a stage where he won't get many chances like this. Khan is very poor against pressure fighters and he can use this opportunity to get more experience in learning how to deal and keep someone off who's trying to bum rush him, while that opponent is a relatively "safe" one. I really like Lamont Peterson but no matter how limited Katsidis is he'll bring more to the table and test Amir's weaknessess more then someone like Peterson would, just because of his style.

Khan is okay when someone is trying to play chess with him, he doesn't need another Malignaggi type of fight. That does nothing for his development and won't prepar him for a Bradley who'll be trying to get inside on him.

Amir can't defend against shots that come out of his line of vision, That's the type of punches Katsidis throws. In fact he's constant with it. Amir keeps his hands up on the inside instead of turning his shoulder. When you are squared up on the inside with a high guard fighters will instinctively dig uppercuts in. Guess what? Katsidis throws pretty good uppercuts.

Katsidis whatever you may think of him, understands what he is and you can't deny he fights with urgency and sets a high tempo. He's also very powerful particularly with the left hook. I wanna see how Khan would adapt and treat someone like him, the Maidana win was great but we saw the best and worst of him. I wanna see if he can put on a clinic against a pressure fighter.

Maybe i just don't rate Khan as highly as you do. Anyway, as i've said any fight thats been mooted is okay with me. It is only a "stay busy" one after all.

Unless he fights ortiz or juan I say he's ducking prescott. The guy is begging for a rematch and is asking for little money, he already has the devastating victory behind him. Unless he fights prescott, ortiz or juan I call a duck.

Khan has ducked in the past. He ran from thaxton which I was disappointed with. Hopefully he won't run from prescott.

I'd actually favour prescott, I don't see khan having the mental strength. Kinda like hearns and barkley.
