Amir Khan considers Kell Brook a tune up fight :D

Im one of the biggest Amir Khan supporters . I like the dude and his style . Ive always rooted for him .

I will flatout say it , he cannot hang with Kell Brook .

Definitely Not for 12 rounds .

Brook takes his soul in 8 rnds .

 

My reasoning for Khan stopping Brook has to do mostly with Brook's eye. Khan is a head hunter. One punch could re-aggravate Brook's eye injury and cause his corner to throw in the towel. Brook could be blinking the entire bout seeing double or triple of Khan. Khan has real power, he even tagged Canelo pretty good a few times causing Canelo to re-adjust.

When has Brook ever stopped someone noteworthy? He's only had a handful of fights at the world level. He's an intelligent boxer but nothing screams out that Kell Brook has what it takes to stop Khan.

A Brook stoppage on Khan is certainly possible but doesn't seem likely. The safest pick is probably a Khan decision or a close split decision. Khan is more elusive to hit than GG was (vs Brook). GG just stood in front of Brook, and it became a war. Khan goes in-and-out and it's not going to be a slugfest like Brook vs GG. I can see Khan winning the rounds fairly easily and Brook chasing Khan behind on points. Look what Khan did to Canelo in the first 5 rounds (winning most of those rounds). It would basically be like that, with Brook having possible eye issues and not having the power / body punching like Canelo to time and stop Khan.

If brook landed any of those shots he landed on GGG, Khan will be asleep again.

You have concerns about Brook's eye but not Khan's chin which has been shattered numerous times. The Canelo KO likely finished off any small punch resistance he had.

Amir Khan would do what he usually does. Start quick and then by the 4th round he slows down and his open. Brook has very good timing and wouldn't take him long to land a hard shot on Khan.

Brook needs the money a fight with Khan will generate.

 

I think(or hope) he's merely trash talking to further hype a future fight with Brook.

 

To this day ive never been able to decide if Khan is just i business mode constantly and anything he says is based around building and starting hype for an up coming money maker or whether he is full on deluded about how good he is and where he stands in the big picture of Boxing.

I dont really find him relevant any more. He seems to think he is the worlds number 1 attraction.

I do think Khan could hurt Brook if his eye is damaged. I'm not saying Khan has major power, but he's got enough pop on his punch to possibly cause Brook eye issues if the eye is still a problem. I was much higher on Brook before he fought Golovkin. We didn't know about the eye injury, and it's now the eye that’s gonna be a storyline for Brook. I'm not as concerned about Khan's chin as I am with Brook's eye because Khan hasn't had his corner throw in the towel. Khan's chin has only been cracked so to speak by Garcia and Canelo. Nobody else had Khan in any sort of trouble besides of course Prescott but that was a long time ago. Again, these are big punchers, bigger punchers than Kell Brook.

An eye injury is potentially a big problem for a boxer who may re-injure it without even being hit with what looks like a big punch. I could see Khan landing a combo on Brook and Kell then starting to blink throughout the round or something and start pawing at the eye again like he did vs GG. Obviously GG is a bigger puncher than Khan but GG never really rocked Brook but it was clear the eye was bothering him nonetheless. If the eye isn't a problem, then I could see Kell Brook doing like what you said, maybe stopping Khan. It's certainly possible, like I said I see it as a toss up fight. There's a lot of question marks and injury concerns regarding both Khan and Brook after their last fight. For that reason, it's a hard fight to predict what would happen. (this is boxing remember anything can happen)

What you're saying could happen, I'm not counting Brook out I'm just saying I'm leaning towards Khan given what we know about Brook's eye, and Brook not being a big puncher, and Khan being elusive despite being seen as chinny.

 

Brook font need anything he is loaded maybe not like Hatton but please
