With all the hate that invariably flies around wherever Khan treads and everything he does, i thought i'd make this thread for people to say some good things about Amir and to give some respect.

Dont leave your hate here, there's plenty of other recent Amir Khan threads where you can spread your hate.

The guy took a huge risk in taking this fight, and he came through. The pressure on him was immense - lose and his career is basically over. Fight a modern day legend who not so long ago went the distance with and troubled the 2 best boxers in the world.

He worked so hard for this fight, and he's doing all he can to make a good career with such a fragile chin. I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds. Either way, someone with such speed, a naturally exciting attacking fighter who works so hard on developing his skills and defense, but with that huge weak spot, is always gonna make for hugely exciting fights.

I am not a Khan fan and laughed my head off when he was KO'ed, as it was inevitable that somebody was going to do that sooner rather than later.

But I do give credit when it's due. Despite a number of idiotic career choices he has finally gotten a good team around him and is showing that with a lot of hard work he may one day possibly acheive the accolades that match his pure natural talent. He has made the sacrifices necessary to be a good fighter rather just expecting it because he is gifted and won an olympic medal.

I hope a lot of other talented young british fighters take note. Doesn't matter how good you were as an amatuer get a good trainer and quality sparring when turning pro.

credit due. he fought great, it wasn't his fault that Barerra had impaired vision, he did what a fighters supposed to do and executed beatifully. I wish him luck, hope he can protect that china chin and get somewhere but who knows how far that is with a chin like his.

Khan is a hell of a talent. He totally outboxed Barrera's head off. I will like to see him in future fights with Freddie at his side of course.

A much smaller man who had to strip naked to make the weight, and who also happens to be a legend.

Give him respect for taking the fight, cut or no cut Khan would have schooled him all the way and don't give me comments about one shot from Barrera because Khan wouldnt even allow him. He deserves credit but haters will always exist for him no doubt.

Khan isn't as bad as ppl think. He is still young and can improve alot, but can he ever be an elite fighter, thats up to his chin really, cos his boxing skills are very good.
