Amir Khan didn't need fixing! Should have stayed with Roach.

The problem from what i could see in his last fight is that he doesn't have the boxing brain to actually be a thinking fighter, because his brain just seems to stop working as soon as he gets caught by ANYTHING.

 

Khan is like the local slut, every guy knows if they keep at her she's easy to ****.

His fights now follow the same pattern, he dances around throwing fast combinations, yet everyone in the hall knows they mean nothing once his opponent catches him.

 

Well Khan always said he wanted to retire by 2015.

A Floyd fight will be a huge payday and then he will come back and maybe have a domestic fight or a low level fight and retire on a win.

 

He will not evolve. He isn't good enough. Isn't smart enough. He has over achieved already. He is past his prime.

 

I have said for a while Roach got the best out of Khan.

Why everyone thinks he's suddenly going to become a pure boxer I don't know. Nothing frustrates me more. Even some logical posters lose their eye when it comes to Khan and it seems down to wishful thinking fuelled by bias.

He isn't that good. I wish everyone would stop hoping he's going to evolve. He isn't even as skilled as Gene Fullmer. Just because he has fast hands people assume he must be a 'pure boxer'.

He ain't, and never has been, even as an amateur.
