He's been down before.....but never SHOOK or ROCKED like the Presscott fight.....Unless I'm mistaken. If he has been Rocked by light hitting guys then its a problem, but if he's good enough he can hone his Defensive skills to incorporate potecting that chin as best possible.
Thx for the vid. Working under Roach I hope Khan's defense can catch up with his offense. He's got power and fast hands he just needs to learn to move his head and to keep his guard.
This is very true. Tito`s footwork was awful and his legs always looked confused. But he was bonafide puncher with a sound jab and good fundamentals. Khan has neither. I know he`s young and can learn but the problem is Warren has invested in him heavily. That means PPV and top billing..
There seems to be alot of pure hate on here for Khan, just the fact he has a glass jaw that is no reason to hate him, it's somthing you are born with, and something he is trying hard to protect and improve. Some people just hate on him for other reasons. Its not Khan's fault he became a super star at the tender age of just 17. Media is the one to hype him up, all Khan had was a dream of becoming a World Champ one day, Warren hand picked the fighters, Khan did not have any say on who he was going to fight. He is a down to earth kid who trains his ass off to become a better fighter. Give the Kid a break, still only 21, few things he needs to do is improve his defence and tuck his chin in, better head movement, use the ring, fight with a cooler head, stick to game plans, become ring smart knowing when to punch when to go on the back foot and defend, use that fast jab.
For all Kahns faults and im no fan of his believe me he cant be all bad if he is an olympic silver medalist, That padwork though was just basic padwork good handspeed but we have seen all that before aint we?
Not to discredit his achievement - but Olympic boxing isnt worth squat in todays professional ranks. The two should be regarded as diffrent sports. Khan doesnt have a seasoned style nor the experience to make a dent currently as a pro.
I hate to see a young talent not reach his full potential. I believe Kahn has the tools necessary to grab a title in the future....I don't see him as a MAJOR player on the level of Joe C....maybe a Ricky Hatton but all will be revealed in his next couple of fights and how he's recovered from the KO loss.
