Amir Khan eyeing all-British fight with Ricky Hatton

Khan in the same interview, dismissed the fight happening.

Hatton's done with the sport. Let him have his deserved rest.

 

Not a good idea for a number of reasons, one being the race riots accompanying the fight.

 

Heart says Hatton, Head says Khan. Hope this doesnt happen. I used to be a huge Hatton fan, but in his words he's fiddled and farted around when it comes to make a decision about retirement, and when he does speak, its usually to gain some props for his promotional company, which is fair enough as a business man, but annoying from a fan point of view. i would rather he hangs them up otherwise amir willl box circles around him until it gets stopped after a flurry of unanswered punches.
Hope im wrong though, would love to see a revitalised hatton who puts his all into training and outmucles khan and stops him, that would be awesome, but i can dream..

 

I think it would be sensible for Khan to pass on this fight. lots more money to be made elsewhere and i think he knows deep down he will get slaughted by the hardcore fan. but maybe thats the problem? the average joe fan might still see this as 50-50 and so **** loads of people would be hyped up to see it.

 

Khan is 8/13 on Boylesports. I'd be all over that.

 

It's a bit of a shame they missed each other by just a couple of years, would have been a huge fight.

Hatton looks more than finished now at this stage though.

i'd be gutted if hatton lost to khan in a comeback fight, at this stage in his life i think he wouldn'd be able to handle amirs speed but i would have to go to it just in case the old magic was still there and hatton blasts him out with some hooks to the head and body!!!!!

 

If Hatton went to up to him and said...."Amir, I'm serious about making a comeback, and I'd love for this to be against you. Lets make it happen." A Hatton vs Khan fight would be announced to the public in a matter of hours.

This fight is there to be made. It all depends on whether Hatton's heart is in it or not, and I personally don't think it is.

Which is a shame though. As I believe that had Pacquiao not have been so brutal in defeating him, Hatton's bounce-back would have been that little easier.

Why do you say this?

As a white northern boxing fan I would love to see this fight and would hope that the better man won. I am a huge Khan fan and would expect Khan to win inside the distance...maybe even very early.

Are you saying all Khans and Hattons fans are racist haters?

 

Hatton is only 31, younger than Pacman and Mayweather. He's had a very easy career as well, the serious competition only really came at the end of his career. He's out of shape, but thats not exactly stopped him in the past.

It probably won't happen because Hatton doesn't need the money. He's happy sitting on the fortune he made in his American fights, and the odd insurance ad.

 

Not all obviously, but a fair few on both sides are complete imbeciles. I have no doubt some racial altercations would occur if this fight took place.
