Not a very well known opponent, but finally Khan fights a young, powerful, hard-punching fighter in Columbia's Breidis Prescott. Better than that: he's coming down from 140 and as big as Khan...

    http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=321864&cat=boxer

"Prescott looks dangerous but he's just the kind of opponent I need at this stage of my career to get my fear instinct to kick in," said Khan.

"He may have been knocking them out left right and centre, but I'm going to make him wake up and smell the coffee!

"I've been working on my defensive skills with new coach Jorge Rubio, and it looks like Prescott will be testing out what I've been learning in the gym.

"Along with my strength and conditioning coach, I'm also punching harder than ever before, and I think my offensive skills are going to win my this fight.

"I love to entertain the crowd and the viewers on Sky Box Office, and I plan to go to war against Prescott. I won't be hiding from him - I'll go after him and try and knock him out like I do with all my opponents."

Your opinion on the opponent please!

He's fighting a puncher, so you have to say its a step in the right direction no matter how bad.

He's fought okay boxers in the likes of Limond and St Clair, but no punchers.

The guy hasn't fought anyone but at least he can hit. The Sports Network charade continues by the looks of it though.

Holy crap it's on Box Office? I hope the sales are pitiful, because that's just crazy. I usually only watch him in the hope he gets KO'd, but there's no way i'm paying to watch him. It'll probably get at least 100-200k of muslim buys though i guess.

The Arthur-Cook matchup is one i'd really like to see, but that's not worth paying for either imo.

Great news. He's not well known as you say but atleast he can punch as is evident from his record, most of his KO's have actually been clean KO's aswell, and what's more his just as tall as Khan.

A little suprising to be honest. On paper looks like a risky fight for Khan, which goes against what his management has been steering him towards previously.

Was this kid on ESPN not long ago? The card that had Ricardo Williams on it?
I think I saw a little of him, he looked kinda raw and went to the body a lot.

Khan should beat him quite easily because Breidis's opposition have been of very poor quality.

typical frank warren opponent, gets a fighter with a good record, but he has won his fights against nobodies.

    Interesting note:

Breidis Prescott's brother Jack is fighting DLH's father on the undercard.

What is sad to me is that this has now gone to Sky Box Office.

What a load of rubbish. I do not want to pay money to watch sport. Boycott Sky Box Office please.
