Quite a few people like me will buy this PPV only because Arthur-Cook is on it but mostly because i want to see Khan chinned.

I smell Amir will talk a lot with Audley after this fight about common experiences.

1: Happy enough about the match up
2: Warren has lost his marbles if he thinks people are going to pay for this. I am a diehard British boxing fan and would not consider for 1 second buying this
3: The pay per view is a short term view. Why not stick with ITV where Khan has got MEGA promotion. Making a few quid on the PPV is nowhere near as profitable as creating a megastar on terrestrial TV
4: I know Warren has tried to strech our imagination on matchups before but this takes the biscuit:

'The pair will fight for Khan's WBO Intercontinental lightweight title at the M.E.N Arena that has seen some of the best fights in recent years including Ricky Hatton v Kostya Tszyu and Joe Calzaghe v Ricky Hatton.'

You would have thought they would check the press release before it went out!

    BTW Hatton KO rd1 :)

Don't know anything about this guy.

His record is good, he can punch, and has fought nobody.

I smell a glossy record pucnher who gets schooled by Khan.

Nine of his nineteen victims had zero wins between them. Unknown at this stage how many of them were actually professional boxers....

who says this boy can punch???

knocking out bums dont mean you are a puncher, certainly not at world level........and thats where amir pretends to be heading, right??

khan looks just like the typical hypejob. if his team were serious about testing him with a puncher ...........hey, there are plenty of young guns at lightweight.

why not fight ali funeka (the guy who just destroyed zahir raheem in 4)?? or paulus moses?? or urbano antillon???

but no, its gotta be someone nobody ever heard of.

Yeah, exactly.. who really knows if this guy can punch?

Khan's team knows what they're doing here. He's stepping up to a "puncher" that hasn't had any notable stoppage victories or notable victories period. For all we know, Gomez hits harder than this guy. Still, it'll be fun to see if Khan gets chin checked again in this fight.

St. Clair was a solid fighter 3-4 years ago. Plus he was a natural 126-130 guy. However, Khan fought him at 135 and past his prime.

Khan doesn't deserve a title shot at all until he fights at least 2 Top 10-15 guys.
