Hate towards him was prevelant before the Peterson fight, garnered a bit of respect back because it was found that LP was cheating. The weeks leading up to the Garcia fight were quiet and then for some odd reason about 5 days before the fight everyone started spurting the Mayweather v Khan fight, to which Khan also played up as a potential fight after Garcia and so British and American media built it up only for Khan to be brutally knocked out like he did against Prescott, were most of the hatred in the first place started from. Him talking up the Mayweather fight is what fuels most of the hate, thinking that he is much better than he actually is.
He's talking as if the haters don't bother him but right now it's clearly showing it is getting to him. If he tweeted about it even a couple times, you know that it is affecting his brain because it's in his head enough for him to keep writing tweets about it!
shocking. He must be the only boxer in history to try and talk himself into a big fight and think he's better than he actually is. I understand where all the hate is coming from now
Not many fighters have called out the best fighter in the world (a genuine call out not a Charlie Z type) and got knocked out brutally.
Boxing is FULL of fighters who call out people leaues above them in talent. A lot of them end up being completely ****. I can see why it would be funny seeing Khan calling out floyd, then lying flat on his back in the ring 4 days later. But why is that a source of hate?
Because hes arrogant. He disregards other opponents who would genuinely give him a hard time such as Peterson and Garcia did, but he tries to build an image that hes greatly superior to them and belongs with the Pacquiao's and Mayweather's of the game.
Thats the kind of thinking I can get behind. What you said is true. And for me, that is the only reason why I'm not really a fan of his. He needs to learn to be humble and stop coming across like he's looking past his opponents and know his place.
