I actually like Khan, just as a fighter, nothin more. Thought he looked really good, now Limond hurt him with that shot, i dont think the knockdown itself was much, it looked like Limon pushed him over to me, ut the fact is that Limond did hurt him. He came back right away and looked good but you had to think it wasnt good. At that point you could possiblt right it off, then he got hurt by Gomez who can punch with his left especially, but really is a SFW, not good, then he comes right out against this guy with a huge ko percent and gets iced, i gotta be honest, for as skilled as i think he is, imo he wont make it too far, imagine he woulda come along a few years earlier and had the likes of Castillo and Coralles in his way to the title. At the top level against a puncher, i just see him getting stopped, be interesting if i was wrong though.

I think if you look at plenty of the great fighters in the lower and middle divisions, they have all suffered KO's throughout their career - the name Tommy Hearns springs to mind, as does Nigel Benn, albeit at middle and supermiddle.

The difference is that they could actually take a shot as well, often it was their style of fighting that was in part to prove their undoing - and it took plenty to knock them over.

Amir Khan was wobbled by a JAB in the first round - guys can often be wobbled by a jab in the later rounds of a fight having taken a beating or simply being a shot fighter, but Khan is fresh as a daisy, no excuses other than having a weak chin.

I always felt (and still do) that RJJ is chinny, but in his earlier days it took something special to catch him flush - you can get away with it if you have good defensive/evasive skills, but Amir is so hittable he makes Ricky Hatton seem like Pernell Whitaker.
