AMIR Khan flies to America today preparing to make one of the biggest decisions of his boxing career.

The Bolton boxer is still without a trainer since he parted company with Oliver Harrison earlier in the year, but will meet up with a handful of top US trainers willing to guide him to a world title.

Freddie Roach, who coaches new lightweight world champion Manny Pacquiao, rated the best pound for pound fighter in the world, has already been quoted as saying he is meeting Khan later this month, but nothing has been agreed.

Shah Khan, Amir's father, said: "It is not just Freddie Roach we are seeing.
"We will also see the Mayweathers. At the end of the day Amir has to be comfortable with the guy, whoever he is.

"Amir is the one who will do the sessions with these people and whoever he picks will be the one we go with.

"Both Amir and the trainer have to be comfortable with each other. This is a big decision and I hope we make the right one.

"We also need to sort out how the trainer will work with us. When Amir is boxing in the UK they need to come over here and when he is fighting in the States, Amir will go over there.
"It is very unlikely that Amir will go and live over there."

Khan is a brutal KO waiting to happen. His chin is 100% Grade A China.

Khan's chin will fail him at the elite level regardless of trainer.
