I just don't think it will be. Kahn and Ortiz are both GB fighters, I can't see them bumping one of them off at this stage.

Tbf tho post Maidana Ortiz hasn't looked great - would it be that much of a sacrifice now? Is he going to grow and get a fight that makes more PPVs than against Khan? Hmmm maybe but Golden Boy do have Canelo (and Khan) now as there new 'Golden Boys'...

Ortiz would make more sense if the fight was in America where he would add something to the fight. In the UK GB would be throwing him in when pretty much any decent opponent would do.....

:huh Im really stuck at the mo I have no idea which BIG fight I'm gonna go to next - obv it doesnt help that all British titleholders have no fights scheduled.

Froch in Nottingham would be perfect tho

Not a bad fight at all really I just think Khan will out class him and stop him around 5.

Ortiz is fighting Berto since when?

I hope they dont plan on making it a PPV bout. McCloskey is decent enough at his own level but Khan does this in 3 imo

I think McCloskey tickets a lot of boxes as an opponent, got a feeling though that this isn't his shot. I think Sky might balk at him for some reason.

Guzman would be a good fight but he probably wouldn't even turn up at the weigh in

Guzman doesn't deserve the payday, fat wanker.

Anyone but Prescott, a man that was outclassed by a Euro level super feather shouldn't be allowed to fight Khan, but the WBA won't say no..... hopefully the board would do the right thing and get the red card out.

I have to agree with most of what's said on here - Prescott would be an easier fight for Khan and would probably sell better - "Great fighter avenges solitary defeat" but fair play to Khan for taking the more difficult option. A lot of people this side of the Atlantic still don't give the credit he's due and getting in against a highly rated opponent like McCloskey should silence them if he wins.

Interesting to see how McCloskey can cope with Khan's speed, I think John Breen should try and bring in Dean Byrne as a sparring partner...

If I was Khan I'd fight Prescott. It will be a more meaningful win when he looks back on his career in years to come. McCloskey is a better boxer and I've no doubt he'd beat Prescott but the Prescott does make more sense imo. It's the perfect time to get his revenge. If it doesn't happen now, the chance will be gone forever.
