I think Prescott. Khan will be able to say that he has beaten everyone that he has fought then. I dont think there are any demons to conquer like some people. It'd sell better, plus it's be a decent filler before a unification bout.
dean byrne is khans sparring partner so thats not goin t happen anytime soon hbo arent goin t but this fight anyway hopefully it goes like this dudey v italian in march then v olusegun/chebah for vacant wbc belt then khan in a unification late in the year ...ye never know:thumbsup
Byrne has already said he would help McCloskey, I don't think there is much love lost between Byrne and Khan really they seem to have little digs at each other through the press and twitter, Byrne just trains at the Wild Card he has no ties to Khan other then they train in the same gym.
The vibe from the States is not good so far fat dan and Lou Dibella both think the fight is ridiculous not great signs hopefully HBO think differently.
The only thing Khan gains from a Prescott fight is the money..... and maybe some cred for avenging a loss. I wonder who'd buy it though? Like what a waste of a fight. Khan is by no means the finished article, he'll likely face Bradley (IMO) in a unification bout - what use is pummelling Prescott as preparation for that? At least he'd face a live challenger in McCloskey - a southpaw with good speed and a decent chin. It'd help him continue learning his craft under Roach in what's certainly a winnable fight for him. I'd buy that fight - Prescott no way!
If it was McCloskey then id be there ringside seats baby !!! ...but Prescott id be saving my dosh for something id wanna see.... I think Khans a top boxer and bloke so wanna give him my support but a rematch with Prescott just doesnt excite me at all ! ... Khans matured into a fighter two leagues above Prescott theres no need for a grudge rematch ... McCloskey though would be a nice match up in styles but i see Khan winning around the 6th...
Same, Prescott does not excite me. This does. I think Khan would have far too much for McCloskey to be honest, with his speed and the way McCloskey sets up defensively. But I still want to see if McCloskey can cause any problems with his unique style.
