Honestly, you're putting way too much emphasis on Khan's speed. Way too much. It's as if you think Floyd has never dealt with such a thing before. If Judah and McCloskey can anticipate Khan's shots, you best believe Floyd will too. And there's a thing called 'timing'. It's used to nullify speed. Floyd's the best in the business at it.

Khan has never fought at 147lbs.
Khan has never fought at the level of a Mayweather.
Khan is very inexperienced when it comes to talk of a Mayweather bout.
Khan has never been in a thinking bout by himself.
Khan does not have a great ring IQ (especially in comparison to Mayweather).
Khan still lunges (Mayweather would take advantage).
Khan does not wait to have his feet in the correct position before he throws.

    I could probably name more.

Now let's look at Mayweather in this bout.

Mayweather could possibly be slowing down by mid/late 2012 (could being the important word).
Khan's speed will trouble Mayweather (for how long, who knows).
Khan has an effective offensive jab.

This bout, even in 2012 if/when Mayweather could be slowing down, will not come down to solely Khan being faster...a slowing Mayweather will still take Khan places he hasn't been before, and punish the above mistakes if they are not ironed out.

If Floyd is half the force he was when he faced Shane then I say Khan wont do it. Lets not confuse Mayweather with Judah they are on a different planet skill wise and commitment wise.

I dont see how Khan will control the fight Mayweather has too much skill, too much ring i.q and he counters better than anyone. I think Khan will flurry not hit and then will get countered to death.

I doubt Khan even lands much on Mayweather lets be real he couldnt land very well against Paul Mcloskey and he is just a "tricky" fighter not one of the best defensive fighters ever?

Plus lets add into the equation we dont know what kind of fighter he will even be at 147 most fighters lose speed and power when moving up just cos he is from the same stable as Pacquiao dont expect the result to be the same!

Everything points to Mayweather win and I would say it will be quite brutal as Khan will have to be very aggressive and therefore take a beating or get knocked out!

floyds ko record in the last 5 years is terrible, he will have to out punch khan to win this fight. right now floyd wins a UD but in 12 - 18 months its 50 50 for me

How on earth will he have to "outpunch Khan" to win this fight?

Floyd doesn't need to outpunch or KO Khan to beat him. For crying out loud, guys, there's more to boxing than just throwing lots of punches fast and hard.

What does Floyds K.O ration have to do with anything?

Khan will NOT outland Floyd so he won't have to "out punch khan" whatever than means.

Khan has zero defense just look at his face after the Maidana fight and we know who is more accurate and faster than Maidana dont we?

    :patsch

Khan's chances are way better than Ortiz. Ortiz is a straight up brawler with limited boxing skills and a lousy jab, Floyd will destroy him easier than he did Hatton. Watch the Berto fight and its obvious why PBF wants Victor, his style is tailor made for him. Ortiz will be walking onto counters til he's put to sleep.

Khan on the other hand has a top class jab (essential for beating PBF) and I can see Floyd getting hit with it all night, upsetting his timing and throwing him off his game. Win or lose, Khan would give Floyd the toughest night of his life right now, no doubt about it.

Some people are deluded about Floyd's abilities, he's not invincible.

    You mean outwork then?

Mayweather doesn't need to outwork Khan to win. He doesn't need to knock Khan out to win either. Mayweather usually produces the more effective work in comparison to his opponents anyway, whilst limiting their work. This will be how he beats Khan, if the knockout doesn't come.

The problem is, Khan's "top class jab", he come's lazy with it, then he become's a sitting duck for straight overhand right's what Floyd love's to throw.

Khan isn't clever enough to upset Floyd's timing, if you believe that your *******s
