Before the prescott fight, he was fighting tomato cans and just throwing sloppy punches and knocking people out, although this was crowd pleasing but he didn't show any real talent, but since the oisan ***an fight he has made me a believer so much more of a solid fighter now he is really starting to improve, I was watching a clip of the willie Liamond fight when he was 19/20? years old and he looked like a little kid, completely different beast now, tighter defence, wastes less punches, more accurate, I really feel like he can take his career to new heights, When he turned pro, there was alot of hype and to the casual fan he was a good exciting fighter but for a true enthausist he was over hyped, but now he is defintely living upto his potential.
Was he ? Coz by my memory he hasn't scored a single KO in his career. As for his talent. Yes he clearly has improved but Alexander/Bradley will destroy him :deal
What I find really interesting is that in a cruel sport where even one loss can mean the end of a glamorous or potentially glamorous career, Khan is one the few boxers to have gained something from a loss instead of losing something. He got the best trainer out there, top facilities and much better fights.
i think Khan is a great fighter with lots of potential and i'm a big fan, but it really is a shame about his chin though, it will imo stop him from reaching the top
I think you guys are right watching the little willie fight, he looked so average and was hurt by someone who was not known to hit hard, BUT i think moving up weight has helped him. He still needs to prove he is a top boxer, which HE is not at the MOMENT. Lets all pray he does well for britain on may 15th.
Not really proved it IMO. The Kotelnik was a good Smart Perfomance but Kotelnik didnt put him under any sustained pressure. Hes not really had a stiff test yet. What happens when someone really puts the heat on him. Its a ?
He's done what he had to do. Humbled a bit then since capturing has reverted back to old ways. He been well managed since losing but in the fights has executed the right plans but let's face it he hasn't fought a prime world class fighter yet in his career. When he does...he will get a rather nasty welcome to the elite world of boxing.
The Malignaggi fight is going to decide who we see Khan up against next, and yes, if he really does fight the likes of Alexander and Bradley then it's a whole new level altogether and we'll get a true idea of how good he really is.
